Graduation outfit?

Hey ladies
I'm graduating from college on Saturday (it doesn't feel real yet) and I need to find an outfit to wear under my graduation robe & out to dinner with my family after the ceremony. What's appropriate for this? It's winter so a sundress (what lots of girls do for graduation) won't really work. I live in the south so it's warm-ish here still. There's a high of 59 on Saturday. I'm pretty bad with fashion and most of my nice clothes don't fit me anymore anyway, so any advice would be appreciated!

hey! i just graduated in november- i bought a long sleeve, bandage dress from bcbg (in black) and wore it with big bad stillettos.

think "formal" but not full length - atleast that's how i did it and it looked great.

but note- your dress wont show under your gown, just your shoes so pick a killer pair!

Googling a bandage dress now...and holy crap, I didn't think about shoes. I don't own any dress shoes... o.O

I really wouldn't worry too much about the outfit! You can't see it under the robes anyway. I grabbed something with pockets for my college graduation because I smuggled my phone in and played with it during the boring parts :joker: It did come in handy though because I was able to text my family and let them know when I was about to go on stage so they didn't miss me :)

I agree with the above posters—shoes! Get some nice shoes because that's ALL you'll see anyway. :)

I graduated in July, Just had a nice pair of black slacks and a nice blouse with a color.

Congratulations! I second finding a killer pair of shoes, and maybe a saucy pair of tights/hose to go with?

Two piece dresses always look dressy without overdoing it :) And it slims out your waist while showing off your hips and amping up your clevage :P
