Where do you find cheap workout clothes?

I own my business and have 10 people working for me. With the recession, things have been extremely tight, but I managed to keep my business running without firing anyone. It's been tough at times, but things are finally looking better.

Anyway, long story short, I don't have lots of money to rely on right now, and I'd rather be saving than spending. However, I do want to start going back to the gym and look nice, not wearing the old rags I've been wearing when I did go last year. But spending lots of money on gym clothes seems silly.

Bottom line: DO YOU HAVE SUGGESTIONS AS TO WHERE TO BUY CHEAP WORKOUT CLOTHES? (esp. online...)

Thanks!

If you don't have objections to shopping there, Walmart has basic workout tanks for $5 and pants for around $8.

Old Navy often has workout clothes on clearance. They're slightly better constructed than the Walmart ones, and tend to be a little more stylish. Right now, tops and bottoms are running around $12 a piece.

I buy my tank tops from JCpenney from the junior section because they are cheap and always on sale. They are also long enough for my torso. For bottoms, I'm not so picky and have been know to pick up stuff from thrift stores.

I found cheap workout clothes at Target and on sale at Modells.

I just stocked up on yoga pants and jackets at Old navy since they are having that sale. I love the way they fit and they are really cute!

TJ Maxx and Marshalls have sections for athletic wear, and also usually a rack with sports bras. Because the availability of different sizes and styles can be spotty in individual stores, it helps if you have the patience to go to more than one (or tap into your network for someone who does this -- for me it's my mom.) This time of year you can also find pretty full clearance racks in sporting goods stores like Sports Authority or whatever you have your area.

Thanks, I will try the stores you suggested!!!

If you get a chance to hit the store, I find often find things on the clearance rack at Kohl's. My latest deal was a pair of Fila running shorts for $2.80 and Nike ones for $6.00.

I love target's workout clothes! I also have some from walmart that I like as well. They fit nice and look good. Wear as well as some of the more expensive brands I have owned.

I just got myself 3 pairs of Everlast pants from TJ Maxx this weekend for 7.99 a piece. Was stoked!

I agree with Mandalinn,

I went to Walmart a few weeks before X-mas and bought some danskin tanks with a built in shelf bra (sale for $3 each)(I wear a t-shirt over these, which I bought a few of these ranging from $1-3) and Danskin shorts, (they're cute and have pockets, I like to have pockets) also $3 each. I bought 4-5 of each. So for $30 I basically have a whole set of workout clothes.
I also bought them a little snug and they almost fit perfectly now

Kohls is a great idea, always something on sale or clearance

I too like the Danskin line at Walmart; very affordable. JC Penneys has some nice things as well.
