Default What are your favourite cosmetics/beauty treats? ;)

Now, I'm a girl who loves makeup and pampering, so I thought it would be fun to share some of our favourite things!

As for toiletries and bathtime pampering, I LOVE Soap & Glory! I think I own just about every product in their range. They smell divine and I admit half of the attraction was the packaging. It's covered in fun vintage glamour photographs of ladies from the 1940's and 50's, which I'm totally in love with.

With makeup, I'm a bit of a snob, I think - I'll usually only buy MAC or Urban Decay. I just bought the Cyndi Lauper shade of MAC's Viva Glam lipstick (it's a charity product, 100% of the money goes to an AIDS charity which is super) and it is gorgeous!

I'm using these as treats in substitute for tasty snacks in the hope I'll be more motivated to diet and exercise, haha!

I recently treated myself and my daughter to a Clarisonic! For those of you who don't know what it is, it's a sonic face cleaning brush (and was one of Oprah's favorite things a few years ago, a lot of celebs use it also). We have been using it for about 3 weeks now - and honestly, I can't BELIEVE the changes in our skin! Both of our faces have less redness and it is clearing up her breakouts (she's 13). Not cheap ($195) but well worth it!

As for facial products - I am a SkinMedica junkie and use their whole line - love it! It's my self indulgence!

I love the sound of the Clarisonic, but I have rather hard to please skin, and I've always assumed it would be too rough for my face, although from what I hear the bristles are super soft... It's a shame none of the UK department stores seem to stock them, to have a look at it before buying.

I love the Aussie hair care range, especially the 3 minute repair 1. Smells too good!

I also love lipbalm... Any thing slightly different in concept or that smells edible, I'll probably end up buying I just got a sour lemon flavoured one which I'm loving.

Hey, that Clarisonic sounds great! My skin isn't that bad, but I think it's because I'm very rigorous with my skincare routine. I used to have horrendous acne when I was a teen, I could have done with it then!

Anything I don't have to do myself.

That is, anything that enables me to lie on a table at a day spa, in a softly lit room, with my eyes closed, with New Age music playing in the background, while someone else lays hot cloths across my face, or rubs in botanically based ointments & lotions, or covers my face with some kind of thick paste.

Heavenly.

Thank you for this March! I looked this up online, and now it must be mine!!!!

I love anything for Sephora - mostly eye makeup and nail polish, and sometimes lipstick. I love make-up forever's glitters, sephora's brand's giant treasure chest of shadows, glosses, and eyeliners (Merry Christmas from DH) and the Kat Von D shadows.

I like bliss products also, such as the blood orange/black pepper lotion, body scrub, and soap.

I love make-up!!

I recently discovered the Upper Canada Soap brand and their Freshly Cut hand cream in Passion Flower with Lychee. It smells heavenly.

I also have been indulging in more higher-end makeup, such as Cover FX (love their matte face powder), Clinque (terrific blushes) and Too Faced (awesome eyeshawdow primer).

I'm just like you Marchmallow. I've been replacing food with beauty and bath products and don't regret it one bit. This is how I would rather indulge myself nowadays.

Haha, I think we're on the right track, Lata. If we eally want the reward, we're going to work for it!

Dcapulet, I've not managed to spot any Make-up Forever stuff where I am, though I'm dying to try it. It looks fabulous from what I've seen online! And I just know you'll love that Viva Glam lippy. It's a really wearable red that's not too dramatic for day wear, goes on like a dream!

I haven't heard of those soaps/scrubs, but Soap & Glory has given me the bathtime pampering bug something chronic, so I'll be looking out for those. ;D

I got a bar of Kiss My Face pure olive oil soap for Christmas. I love it! I also got some Dermalogica facial cleanser that is to die for...I use it with my Clarisonic. I love the cleanser so much that I ordered a bottle of Dermalogica toner from Ulta a couple of days ago. It's pretty expensive, but worth it! I tend to get breakouts, but I haven't had a noticeable pimple since I started using the cleanser.

I've recently become a Bare Minerals convert. It looks so natural and it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. For me it's pricey but i think its worth it.

I have a new favorite as far as beauty treats, and it's not even intended as a beauty product, though it works wonders. Coconut oil. I bought some for my dry legs (they used to get itchy to the point of pain, since I started using the coconut oil on them it only happens when I don't reapply after being outside). With regular lotions and body butters I would have to reapply every 2 or 3 hours to stop the pain. It has also totally cleared up a dry patch I get behind my ear. I keep a little travel makeup container in my purse with some in it to use as lip balm.
I make my own bath bombs, as well as some for friends, but I need to stock up on some essential oils. I like doing this because then I can control what is put in them. I use mini cupcake tins as the molds for these, and they're just the right size.
As far as makeup. I love the Rimmel curling mascara (not sure if that's the exact name, but it's in a purple metallic tube). I like a little hint of color on my cheeks but I'm not picky about the brand, and for eye shadow I prefer the almay ones geared towards eye color. I like a red for lipstick, or a wine, or a sheer pink gloss, again no favorites as far as brand.

.
Space NK sells it, as does Harrods and Selfridges if you are in London. Extortionate here in the UK though, we have to pay more in GBP than our fellow Americans pay in USD.

I want to move into Sephora and live there for the rest of my life. If they moved it next to Victoria's Secret & the Apple store..I'd be in major trouble. I love love LOVE Urban Decay. Love Junkie is my fave lip gloss!! I was so paranoid about not ever finding it again, that I bought 4 tubes of it, lol!!

I love products of all kinds, but I am a shiseido fan and have been for a while. It is pretty expensive, but the eudermine toner is the best stuff I have ever used. I also like clinique's youth surge for a day sun screen lotion.

I am a complete MAC addict. It's also one of my best motivators. when I meet a goal, not just WL, I treat myself to a trip to the MAC counter. I also go there whenever I'm feeling homesick for a pick me up.

Nars eyeshadows are another favorite but I can't get them here in korea. T.T

For beauty products I love anything from Isle of Eden. Their body scrubs and creams are amazing! And they have such unique scents plus international shipping.
