Body shaper for big girl?

  • Hey everyone! Wondering if you can help me find a GOOD body (waist?) shaper. I am very heavy chested, so don't really want anything that goes up that far. I want something that goes up to just under my boobs/rib cage area, do the top of my hips (or even panty style if necessary). I will be wearing it with jeans, so I don't really want legs included (I don't like double dressed feel). lol But I want something that's going to really help the muffin top, and just smoothing me out as I lose. Especially when I'm getting down into new sizes but muffin over.

If it helps I am a size 20-26, depending on the jeans (24/26 in the cheapo Cato type jeans).

I'd love ANY tips on what's GOOD and what to stay away from. (Oh and I'm on a budget. LOL)
  • Oh and I tend to have a small waist with bigger boobs and hips, so I really want to accentuate the hourglass figure. ROFL
  • Hi Jackie..try woman within. i just checked their web catalog and saw several items that might work for you. i just typed in shapers in their search box..good luck rosey
  • Thanks rosey! I'll look. Have you tried any of them?
  • No i have not becuz im round from head to toes lol..however i buy clothes and lingerie from them all the time and have been happy with my choices..good luck, rosey
  • Does anyone have any info on spanx? Is it super fitting? I want something firm to do the job, but yet comfortable. LOL

I'm scared to put down 50-100 bucks and get something that isn't any good!
  • Spanx are really great and comfortable but the material catches somewhat so that your clothes don't slide as nicely as body shapers made from nylon or other smooth materials. Catherines Flexies are pretty good, but I don't know if they go up over the rib cage. Maybe it's me, but I find that you get what you pay for when it comes to support garments. :-)
