Default What do REAL women look like?

Ever wonder what a woman who wears a size 10 looks like?
Ever wonder what women who are the same weight as you look like?
Ever wonder what you might look like when you reach a certain weight?

I found this site that features photos of REAL women that you can search by weight, height, size, body shape, etc.

I think it's fascinating.

Wow! That's actually pretty cool. Unfortunately, they don't have anyone that looks like me at this point, but at least I was able to find what someone looks like at my goal weight and on the way there! Thanks for posting!

Hmmm...I guess that goes to shows height and weight are kinda meaningless. I put in my height and weight and I looked nothing like what popped up. I actually had to lower the weight 10-20 lbs to see people who looked more like me. Our bf, build and frame really make a difference in how we carry our weight.

That's a very interesting site! It's good to see how real women can weigh the same and look so different. My only thumbs down for the site is a lot of the women (most that I saw for my weight range) are classified as "hourglass" and some of them aren't.

pink sparkle - I noticed the same thing. Every single person with my same height and current weight was listed as hourglass and I don't think any of them were.

I definitely like to see my goal weight pics - I don't remember looking so small!

Very interesting.
Thanks for sharing!

EDIT: It's very very interesting to
see how peoples' bodies carry the
weight. At 5'5'' I carry 140 as if I was
130 - 135, but someone else at 5'5'', 140 lbs
could carry it like they weigh 150, or
someone else could carry 135 as 125.

One of the things I thought was interesting is women in the same size pants can vary by as much as 50 pounds! There are so many factors that go into determining what size you wear.

I think the discrepancy in how women describe their shape is just that people don't understand the differences (especially between pear and hourglass) and also that a lot of women "wish" they were an hourglass because it's the Barbie doll ideal.

Thanks! Very nice to get to see what "real" people actually look like. This actually made me feel pretty good about the goal weight I picked.

What exactly is an hour glass shape? isn't it when your chest and hips are the same and you have a noticeable waist?

Well I like the site because for once, people around my weight actually look like me! I've heard so many other people say "I weigh ___" and it would be around my weight but they always look way tinier. Maybe they just all carry their weight better? I don't carry excess weight very well so that's depressing, lol.

I've also never been thin so it's sort of nice to see many versions of what my goal weight might look like on me.

I was thinking the same thing. I am 5'6" and so I looked at 110-150 for my height. There are girls in the 120s who don't look so small and some in the high 150s who look amazing (like I wish I looked that good and I'm @ 140 right now). I guess part of it is camera angle, etc. But still.

It's a really useful resource. Did you guys upload photos? I am going to see if I have any that clearly show my whole body ...
