Default Eye Twitching

Hey everyone,

I'm having this major problem in my right eye. It's twitching! I wake up, and it starts twitching from that moment. It's like a little pulse above the right corner of my eye.

Yes, sometimes it is my caffeine intake, but I don't always drink coffee. Maybe 4 days a week.

What might be causing this? Fatigue? Does anyone have any remedies?

I get this from time to time.. I don't believe there is such a cure out there, it is just like a muscle twitch of some sort that eventually goes away. A few months ago I had it for about 3 days straight.

Could be dehydration or a potassium deficiency.

Drink water. Eat banana.

I've always heard that it's because of lack of sleep? I dunno. Anyway I hope you figure it out, because twitchy eyes are kind of a pain in the rear end.

I had gone to a Dr. for my sinus & he noticed my eye twitching like that. He told me it a lack of sleep. He said that we could do a little botox to stop it. I opted not to. I notice when I do not sleep well that my eye does start to twitch.

Any twitch that lasts more then a few hours should be checked by a doctor.

Mine does that because of allergies, it's my left eye.

I've been having this on both eyelids for a couple of weeks and it really bugs me. I went to the doctor and he said besides stress or lack of sleep (which is just a kind of stress too really) it could be my potassium levels are off. He ordered a blood test and I'm going in tomorrow to take it.

I had one that twitched for several months-- it was stress and lack of sleep.

Mine does that when I'm deficient in iron.

Same here, I was under a great deal of stress for about three months and my eye twitched for all of the three months.

Definitely lack of sleep and probably also lack of nutrients. Have some coconut water for some extra potassium and maybe a daily vitamin, if your not already taking one.

Mine twitches sometimes when I am tired. The only things that seem to help me is sleep or a warm wet washcloth held to my eye for a few minutes.

I have had this off and on the last few months, and found out from my eye doctor that as well as stress/lack of sleep, it can be related to eye irritation connected to allergies and dry eye. He recommended some artificial tears (stressed NOT to use one of the "redness reducer" drops because they can make it worse). I use them a couple of times a day and they help a lot with the twitch and irritation. Also the terrible red veins in my eyes have gone away, which they didn't with the redness reducer, so I'm glad he told me that.
