Rewards, & Incentives.

  • Does anyone reward themselves, even if they perhaps don't deserve it at the time? Maybe a reward as incentive? I'm guilty of doing this a few days ago. I bought a few all natural cosmetics online as a gift to myself. I hadn't been feeling that great about myself, and needed a little pick me up. Well they arrived today and my confidence just soared higher than the clouds! With a tiny bit of concealer, and a dab of lipstick/blush I felt prettier than ever before. & It was all guilt free. No bad parabens or chemicals, only all natural vitamins and oils that are GOOD for your face. I feel so light and look so natural and healthy; my sweetheart didn't even know I was wearing makeup, but said I looked very radiant today. I can't remember the last time I felt this good about myself; I feel beautiful. & It makes me want to work that much harder to get to goal, because I know I'll be even more gorgeous than I am now.

So tell me, what have you done for yourself lately? What makes you feel beautiful, and appreciate how far you've come and everything you've accomplished? & How will you reward yourself in the future? Because YOU are worth it.
  • I have started doing my hair and makeup just about every single day now. In the past, I would wait until I"m at goal to do that, but now, I do it and it helps me feel more put together. I also try to dress nice and I put a lot of thought into my outfits. So, I'm not buying something, but I"m using what I've got to make me feel as good as possible about myself. It's still a struggle because I have a closet full of beautiful, small clothes, but at the same time, I cannot WAIT to wear them all!
  • I plan on wearing a size 8/10 for my high school reunion.
  • Yes, I totally do this all the time. I just bought a few new outfits in a little bit bigger size. I gained weight and grew out of so many clothes, the tightness of them and the awkward way they fit as your still putting them on makes you feel so much worse. The new clothes I got are really helping me feel pretty.
  • Initially, I rewarded myself with a little something for every kilo lost. First things like beauty items, then clothes, which were, of course, much needed at some point.

I now feel that I do no longer need to get myself a reward. Every time I get dressed or see my reflection in the mirror, I feel rewarded. Feeling good inside my own body is the ultimate reward, and its free!
  • I finally decided to lose weight and so today I went for a facial and chemical peel. It felt good to do something to improve my appearance and now I'm motivated to keep my skin looking good. Feeling even just a little better about my appearance helps me stay motivated to improve even further.

Yes, I agree. Beauty things always work for me, while feeling the opposite of beautiful does the opposite. ("Where`s the point?")
