It's a major issue for me when I have a boyfriend...I always think they are like - oh wow - and then when the bra beast comes off - it's like oh....love how they are cradled in my armpits...ewwww.

hahahahah, I laughed out loud in an empty house at this. I can so relate! Mine look great in my $50 bra, but when that comes off, they're pointed due south! I have grandma boobs!

Thanks for the site, it was very informative!!! I definitely feel more "normal" now, I always thought my boobs were extremely saggy - but I'm sure that's because I've seen too many airbrushed, siliconed hollywood models (no offense to anyone who has implants - it's just that mine don't sit up like implants).

For those at work, you probably want to wait until you get home to view it. It's a good site, but you know how Americans and boobies are. ;)

Thanks for the site! I'm so not bad...and mustang, you're right, too used to looking at the model ones...regardless I long for ones that are not 'long' if you know what I mean :)

Windchime 05-16-2009 11:43 PM

I looked. I'm still gonna get a boob job after I'm done losing if I can afford it. Not implants, but a lift.

grneyedmustang 05-17-2009 08:14 AM

I would totally get a lift too, LOL...I don't want mine to look like torpedoes :yikes:

Reading this thread cracked me up..... I love you guys!! hehe And I totally feel you on that whole sagging thing. I ALWAYS get compliments and attention for my boobs.... guys are fascinated with them (they WERE a 40DDD up until recently... lost about 15lbs and went back down to my normal 38D that I used to be years ago... apparently it was all weight that caused them to grow)...... but I always have said, "Hey, it's the bra... not me" cos it's most definitely the bra that makes them look fabulous and shelf like. LMAO

*sigh* Ah well... the guy that I'm currently "with" says he loves them..... is crazy about them.... etc and I'm nuts if I think I should get a lift one day. Boy must be blind..... :/

Well, last weekend I got correctly fitted for a bra and I was wearing the wrong band AND cup size! I was wearing a 44 G and needed a 40 DDD! I am sporting my first underwire bra and it is comfy and the girls are where they should be and not fighting to "escape". It made such a difference in how my clothes fit and how I feel wearing them. I know my bra size will change as I lose more weight, but I will go bak and get fitted again when I am at that point.

Great thread and I hear ya on the granny boobs! :o Mine seem deflated and I see at least a lift in my future if I can afford it.

I read somewhere that it's better to wear bra's if you are about to go to sleep. Is this accurate?

Hi ladies,

A very informative thread. I can't wait for my girls to be what they used to be. (Bra size anyway). Sometimes I envy the almost flat chested types.

I've worn cheap bras when I thought I would save money - the ones from the chain stores are horrible. The straps cut you to pieces and bits stick in and of course, the girls have little support and flop and jump about. I've usually worn bras made by Maggie T. (Australian brand) They are wonderful. They support as they should and are easy to wear. They are also very pretty in lovely colours with lots of lace. They make you feel like a girl should. They are also made in all sizes - big and small. As I get smaller, I will be making some new investments - only about $50.00 AU.

I may not have the largest chest out there, but I can definitely understand bra shopping woes! I went from being a 36AA that could decide to not wear a bra and be fine, no under-boob sweat or discomfort as they were tiny and perky, to an 83 lb weight gain in 5 months and suddenly having boobs. I don't have what I consider to be "normal" breasts either. They're actually still very much on the smaller side, but I end up buying a D cup because of the underarm and back fat that I pull into the bra with the girls to have a more "natural" look without the armpit buddies and try to hide any back troubles.
As much as I seriously gagged at the non-sale price tag of $50 for my two now most favorite life saving bras, I'm glad I have them. I swear by the Victoria's Secret Miracle Bra. Not only do I love the ability to cross the straps over my back as to not worry about shoulder grooves or slippage, but it's amazing support and all day comfort! I actually feel confident enough in these bras to not wear a tank top with a shelf bra over to conceal any bra lines! When they're on sale, the price was well worth it! I did cave and pay the 50 for the black, but I got a more neutral grey/silver for less than $10!!!
I'm hoping that as I continue on this path to regain the figure my brain thinks that I have, the girls will retract, but I'm seriously praying they opt to be a larger version of how they used to be, and not end up in scary sag land!

My mum was singing Bravissimo's praises to me just yesterday!

FYI-- I ordered the built in bra- cami from Bravissmo and i LOVE it, but just wanted y'all to know it the SAME one that you can get through Solutions at a about a 3rd of the cost.
I have a cami from each and they are the exact same. minor minor differences in some of the strap material, but you have to look close to tell.

As a 36 DD, I understand the boob woes!

I have often considered a reduction (forget the "lift", these puppies need to be smaller!). LOL!

I wear tanks now but I'd feel better if I could wear the cute little bras that other gals have. :o ...I wonder if my boobs will go down once I get to goal. Right now, I'm doing crazy chest exercises to tone the muscle that's buried deep below my DDs....
