Maternity Spanx? Jeebus. I have a hard enough time pulling on my pants.

I know what you're talking about though, I've had several "smoothing" things that do cause a muffin top... ugh.. It's why I adore my spanx/assets!

That's exactly what I was going to ask!! I have two versions from Wal Mart and one cinches in my waist but cuts into my stomach and makes it look BIGGER. The other flattnes my tummy but digs in right below my bra so there's a roll there! I didn't buy them to look FATTER!! :dizzy:

I would have saved money in the end if I'd just bought Spanx and not gone el cheapo!!!

So which kind should I get to flatten my "mummy tummy" and love handles? :?:

A couple questions...

Has anyone tried the Spanx tights? I recently bought my first pair of tights, and they had so many runs in them by the time I even got them on :( I have the same problem with panty hose (what the heck am I doing wrong?), but I was hoping that tights might be a little hardier, I guess. Maybe I just accidently got a cheap brand. If you've tried the Spanx tights, do they run? I don't want to spend $48 on a pair of non-returnable tights and then have them ruined after the first wear.

Also, does anyone know anywhere to buy Spanx in Canada? Specifically Alberta...and hopefully Edmonton :) I've only seen the Spanx tights at The Bay, but I haven't really shopped around for them much. Is there a way to mail-order them from a Canadian company?

Thank you!!

No matter what your shape or size spanx can make a nice outfit look great, they really smooth every thing out and give you a more streamlined figure.

I live in Ontario and they have a Spanx booth at almost every mall I've been to.

I have wondered about Spanx, I have heard good things about them. I carry most of my weight in my stomach area so it sounds like they might help smooth things in that area.

RE: the spanx tights. I haven't had much luck with tights in general unless they are really thick. I saw the Spanx tights and thought about buying them, but honestly it is cheaper to just buy the actual spanx and then tights to go over them....at least it is cheaper if they run all the time.

To me the knock-off Spanx they have at Target (forget what they call them...shapers or some such thing) are just as good and MUCH CHEAPER!

That sounds like a good idea. Oh how much I miss target since moving to Canada.

If we are thinking of the same thing, those are actually from the maker of SPANX and cost half the price. I think they are just as good also. The name is ASSETS® by Sara Blakely®. They have a few different styles in several colors and sizes. You can also get them from target.com.
