Do you pamper yourself?

For no good reason? For special occassions? As a special treat?

Every once in a while I'll go get a pedicure or a massage. I feel absolutely glorious afterwards, and I always wonder why I don't do it more often. (Probably because I couldn't afford it )

How about you gals? :corn:

I love my monthly pedicures!! They are my favorite way to be pampered!

I can't really afford it, but it's going on my credit card! I'm having a 1hr parafin wax french manicure in 30 mins.

It is a non-food treat as I am in a carb-craving mood and if I'm not careful I'll devour all my points that are meant for dinner.

I have had a small bowl of all bran and booked the treatment instead of a 2nd....3rd etc bowl.

I use beauty treats all the time and I also have a pandora bracelet for which I buy new charms when I reach my mini goals.

Most day I get an iced coffe or low cal diet cherry limeade from Sonic. I also treat myself to clothes anytime there is a great sale.

I am at goal and my incentive to myself is, I get a new charm for my pandora bracalet every month i don't gain. Working so far!

I guess I treat myself by buying foods I like, but not necessarily because I want to treat myself but because I want them. Other than that I never treat myself, I just usually dont see a reason to.

Aaaaaaaaaw, there's ALWAYS a reason to treat yourself. ;)

How about a new cosmetic item or something else that you've wanted for a while, like a new CD or DVD. I love to go shopping & buy a new article of clothing or a new novel. Or a new pair of shoes. I love to buy magazines too, so that's always a treat.

Listen to the sage, here! So true. Today I treated myself to a manicure and pedicure. OMG they had a massage recliner there, to sit in while we waited for/got the pedicure. I had no idea these things existed. Felt just like a real massage. I told DH I WANT ONE when I reach my goal weight. He agreed and then said "Wait, how much are they?" Har, too late! :D

Anyone have any tips on how to pamper myself that doesn't involve those things?

Oh, plenty! Depending on what your issues are with massage (if it's just that you don't like strangers feeling you up in your undie wear) then try out one of those chairs that I just posted about. When I get mine I'll never get out of it, I think! Sorry kids, there's poptarts in the cupboard! :p

Other than that--if you have a hobby, set a goal and then when you reach it, get yourself a nice toy for your hobby. How about clothes, or a purse? New shoes? I'm full of ideas :)

Oh dear Lord. I'm the poster child for self-pampering.

I photograph weddings every week (sometimes 2 or 3 a week) and it's damn hard work. It's very physical and very strenuous. So I get a massage every other week. (It's therapeutic! Really!)

I get my toes done every other week as well (on alternate weeks from the massages).

And, um, I get my eyebrows and my ... ahem ... waxed every 5-6 weeks.

Yeah. I"m kinda a girly girl that way. I like the whole spa thing. Our local spa sells "series" of massages, waxes, etc. - buy 3 or 4 and get the 4th or 5th one for free ... so I usually buy a series and indulge. :D

Okay, so I know you write code. Is there any sort of gadget you've had your eye on? Apps for said gadget or anything? That's pampering yourself.

I know that occassionally treating myself to a new DS game is fun, and helps... uh... keep my hand-eye coordination working well... aww ****, it's just fun. ;)
