today was a short walk with the puppy, about 20 minutes, and a grueling 45 minute fat burning yoga. it feels so good. after my run yesterday my shins were killing me, which is really weird because i run enough for that not to happen. decided to take it easy today. fixing to take a nice long bath. ahhhhhh.
Sunday was the aforementioned walk with the dog.
This morning, 40-minute pilates tape - damm near killed me. I am bound and determined to build some core strength, so I can do more yoga and survive water aerobics. Then 40 minutes walking the dog.
Tomorrow: water aerobics and, you guessed it, more dog walking.
Wednesday: first encounter with the bosu ball.
This is paying off big time. Had yearly physical today. Blood pressure is 116/74; HDL cholesterol is 67 -- doc said she rarely sees it over 55. Weight is holding steady. Nerves are strong. Mood is terrific. Breathing is slow, steady and life-giving.

Awesome!!!
Today: 30 minutes elliptical, 10 bike, back workout: lat pulldowns, hyperextensions, bent over BB rows, biangular row machine, Hammer hi row, DB pullovers (my fave). I really feel the weakness in my right bicep on every back exercise but hope it's s-l-o-w-l-y getting better.
Sensational water aerobics this morning ... 45 minutes. Raining here, so no dog walks. They're delicate little flowers, and don't like to get their feet wet.

HA! my baby is the same way. and she's a lab/german shepherd mix. when i let her out to go to the bathroom and its raining, she looks at me like, you must be kidding.
this morning is more yoga. i felt so good yesterday after the soreness wore off that i can't wait to do it again. i have so much to do today, that i woke up at 4:45 to get some yoga in. i feel better than i have in days. this may be my new wake up time.
I know what you mean about the after-effects of yoga. There's nothing like it. Incidentally, our little flowers are two Airedales and a hound-retriever mix. Genetically, they're all very hardy but I don't think they understand that
Today, 20 minutes on the treadmill; 35 minutes weights; 40 minutes walking the dog. I expect to be verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry tired this afternoon, but my pants-o-meter is verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry satisfying.
Christie, don't you believe it. As long as you do something ... anything to move your body ... every day or nearly every day, you're on the right track as far as I'm concerned.
Tuesday - no cardio, hour of shoulders (trying to baby the bad one): Hammer press, DB front and side raises, a combo sequence that one of the other trainers made up, rear delts, Arnolds.
Wednesday - 30 minutes crosstrainer, 30 minutes bike, no weights (rest day - everything is sore! )
