I've been tracking my food intake in FitDay for quite a while, and stumbled across the Interactive Healthy Eating Index this morning. It has a rather aggravating user interface, in my opinion, but it was nice to see my foods broken down into grains/fruits/veggies/etc. It's one of the features FitDay doesn't have, and I was just bemoaning that earlier this week!
Verdict: I generally eat in a fairly healthy manner, but I need many more foods in the "grains" category, and a few more veggies. I'll copy over a few more days from fitday into the IHEI tonight & see if this is a trend, or just a function of foods this week. Using FitDay helped me see that I was eating too much saturated fat, and I cut that back, so maybe this will be another tool along the way to a healthier me.

. Hopefully they'll add more server capacity.
I read a Washinton Post article today about the new site which said that the new site received 160 million hits in the first 72 hours! I haven't had a chance to go play on it yet but definitely plan to as soon as possible.
