Hello.....Newman

Suffering from a cold (I stil have it:( )and slowly downing some Neocitrin last night I was watching the new show 48 hours and saw a piece on Wayne Knight AKA Newman from Seinfeld (I love that show). Anyhoo, he's lost over 100lbs and is working out and eating very controlled meals.

Here's a link from the show

They also had a piece on Jarod from Subway, he's looking even better now!

Cheers!

I saw that! Very good program. They discussed the dangers of WLS, how celebrities that have had WLS make it more appealing, and then they showed a celeb that did it the old fashioned way. He really did look good! He looked healthy.

The piece on Jared really surprised me. I had no idea that he consumed 10,000 calories a day before resorting to Subway. Subway struck gold when they found him. They used to have a press release on their site that said they did not endorse Jared, and wish he'd done his diet differently. After he became so popular, they removed the press release from their site. They definitely endorse him now.

Darn -- I missed it! It sounds fascinating. But thanks for the link -- too bad he's not a member here at 3FC because I'd love to talk to him some more about his experiences  .

Thanks for the link. It's good to see a celebrity "doin' it the old fashioned way!"

Thanks for the link, Sweater Girl! and I loved the thread title

Glad he did it for his health; he already could get roles as a "rotund" type.

True, it takes resources ($$$) to have that kind of personalized help, but good for him!
