whisper it ... the needle on the scales has moved downwards and my legs are looking a bit better. I seem to be in better shape and eating less since I've started this decluttering business. My current client won't last for ever, though, so I need to find someone else. Have you landed anyone, Dagmar?

Interesting about DH, Dagmar. Why's he doing it? The SO is doing that here so he can fit in a bit of yoga. And that benefits everyone.

I think saef is OK. Perhaps she's moved into a new phase in her life. I miss seeing her here, though.

Sorry to hear about the food thing, Shannon. You had a very hard time with the family earlier in the year, I remember, so perhaps it's all catching up with you. How are things going with everyone?

Alice, I've definitely got a 'portfolio career'! Today I'm having a day off from decluttering and am going to proof read something for the Merchant Navy.

How's it going this week, Jessica?

 to all.

 Birchie. I have 2 referrals but neither has contacted me yet. I'm enjoying the quiet. Good luck with finding a new client!

Enjoy the weekend everyone! :beach:

Dagmar

Waving hi!
Haven’t checked in for awhile. Just been very busy.... during the school year I check in most mornings, but during the summer, my routine is off.
Just returned from Houston helping dd prepare for her upcoming wedding.
Dh left for Japan today. He will work, then I fly there Tuesday. We are going on a cruise there! Then I return, and he will stay and work. I’ll go right to work and the wedding is a few weeks after!
I’ve got good motivation not to overeat on the cruise so my dress will fit!

Hi Michele! Good to see you and to hear about your motivation ...

I seem to have lost 2 inches from my thighs. Remember I said my legs were looking a bit better a few days ago? Regular exercise and a lot of stairs obviously work.

Yep re regular exercise. I see a lot of "skinny fat" people (who probably diet but don't exercise) out there during the summer. I still remember 2 clients complimenting me on losing weight after I started working out with weights. I hadn't lost weight but I looked much better.

Dagmar :strong:

I love weights. It's such a relief to be able to fit them back into my life. :)

We're at 500 posts! Anyone got an idea for a new thread title? Takes around 6 months to get to 500 these days.

Down another pound, for 11 pounds lost. Looks like I've settled into a pound a week. I wish I could give all you of the change in attitude that I've experienced.

Birchie, sounds like you are going great guns!

Shannon, I hope you find something other than food for stress reduction. How about meditation? Weren't you doing some of that awhile back?

Mudpie 07-22-2018 09:27 AM

New thread title suggestion - - "Small, Slow, and Steady"? Refering to both the group size and goals.

Dagmar

Great suggestion. I need to be reminded of the 'steady' part.

silverbirch 07-22-2018 01:20 PM

Agreed. Go for it, Dagmar!

JayEll 07-22-2018 02:09 PM

Does it sound too much like a snail? :D I like the steady part, though.

silverbirch 07-22-2018 04:06 PM

"Steady as she goes!"

Do you say that across the pond?

JayEll 07-22-2018 06:31 PM

Aye, Captain!

I like that, Birchie!

HowlinAtTheMoon 07-22-2018 07:11 PM

I like Small Slow & Steady. Describes my intended behavior exactly! But Steady As She Goes is fine too (where are the men anyway).

Shannon in ATL 07-23-2018 03:02 PM

Both versions are cool with me. I need to be steady as she goes right now, too. To be inclusive, we could go with "steady as we go" instead of "as she goes" if we go that route. :)

ETA - didn't see the new thread before posting here, sorry! :)
