Several days of warm/hot weather make me feel like I weigh less since I'm not carrying around pounds of outer wear. Leaving the house in just a polo shirt is like heaven. However, the scale isn't affected since I weigh in the altogether despite the temperature since I long ago discovered that if I didn't like my weight I'd just strip down to see if I could get it lower. Rational thinking doesn't seem to matter when the subject is weight, LOL.

My goal is to gather some clothes for the trip to Costa Rica in July. This requires me to know that I won't gain or lose weight between now and then. Starting a vacation with clothes a little loose isn't a problem, but starting with clothes a little tight seems terrible.

Enjoy your vacation Bill. I've heard Costa Rica is a beautiful place with lots of interesting things to do.

Good week all!

The day started badly. Fingers crossed for the afternoon and evening.

I LOVE Costa Rica! We had so much fun doing the Parque River run when we were there. Oh, and the rainforest we drove through was spectacular. Really beautiful country if you get outside of San Jose. Enjoy your trip, Bill! What areas are you visiting?

My dd went to Costa Rica for several weeks one summer and loved it!

My clothes are looser. The scale is the same. I've decided I'm addicted to the scale and I'm making changes to work on this.

I have a podiatrist appointment this morning to look at an ingrown big toenail. It's not terrible but I'm paranoid with our upcoming Italy hiking trip. I'm hoping whatever she does doesn't knock me out of my workouts.

Cold here now but will be hot later in the week. My younger dd arrives Wednesday!

We're expecting a heat wave this weekend and into next week. Predictions are 115 to 121 over the next 5 or 6 days. I expect we'll stay inside a lot.

Sunday, Father's Day, our DS is graduating magna cum laude from the University of California, Irvine. We'll get out of town for that day and enjoy a lunch out and then the ceremony that afternoon. The school's commencement is divided by department and spread over 4 days. It'll be interesting. The year he started there Barak Obama spoke at the commencement and it was held at Dodger Stadium.

Interesting to hear that Amazon is buying Whole Foods. I wonder if prices might go down? I rarely shop there, so I guess it means little to me.
