Another place mentioned an amenity that I wouldn't be looking for--a Tesla charging station. I don't have an electric car (DS wants one) so this isn't necessary. More research to do.

Wow! We paid less than that for the resort we went to in Mexico and that was all inclusive food and drink along with the room.

Now I'm looking at a farmhouse in Umbria, Italy. It sleeps 8 and costs about $4000 per week. We'd still need to get airfare, rental cars, food and then money for some of the sights we'd want to go see. I was thinking it'd be a great family getaway, but my son will be graduating and my SIL is looking to join a local police force. That makes me think that a two-week vacation with family might not be feasible. Wondering if friends would want to do it, even if they came for a week at a time.

Oh, the possibilities!

Oh, yes....friends....tell me when!

Charlotte does have kidney disease unfortunately. Back to the vet this afternoon for a urine check. He said she's a stage 2-3 which I guess could be worse...

Wouldn't that be fun?

Michele - sorry about Charlotte. :(

Bill - those are great phones. I like the GSM capability. The one time you need it, you really need it.

Happy Canada Day (Dominion Day) to Dagmar and all our friends up North.

We may celebrate here by going to see The Big Friendly Giant because Mark Rylance stars as the giant. Our grown children are too old to go with us so we'll have to sneak in, LOL.

I went to Finding Dory with my adult dd and her friend. Let us know how the BFG is!
I've already got plans to see The Secret Life of Pets with no kids in tow!

We have had a quiet Canada Day. We are going to cap it off by walking to the local large park to see their fireworks display. DH and I have been going to fireworks displays together at least once a year, since we met. Nice to have that tradition.

Dagmar :beach:
