My first thought on seeing the new thread title was the Star Wars reference.

If we abandon http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/livi...ummertime.html, does this mean that I have to admit that Summertime is over?

The forecast for Northern Ca is 101 degree tomorrows. What does that tell you ?

Finally getting to go golfing this summer! It'll probably be the last time until November because the month of October is usually devoted to letting the Bermuda grass dry and overseeding with Rye for the winter. We're looking at highs of 110 later today (ugh) and another hurricane (Odile) moving in mid-week. The last one to hit us was particularly devastating so lets hope we get rain, but not 3 inches in an hour.

Better post to the new thread so I get the daily summary sent to my email without a gap.

Back below 128 (just barely). Now for the slow slog back to goal.

On Monday, I'd gone up over the weekend by just .5 pounds, which I expect I'll drop after two days at work.

Denial and one's self-image -- I think of myself as 155, but I'm really 157. Because I am not happy with my weight, I also think I'm far larger than I really am. The truth is, I am neither fat nor thin. The full-body workouts of NROLW have tightened up and changed my body's shape, but of course, I'm still carrying fat.

I had a little bit of a backslide last week (probably thanks to pizza, birthday cake, and my parents being in town) but not too terrible. Weight is at 162.

This is week 12 of the 12-week program I was doing. I had to take one week off because I had a cold so I guess it's really week 13, but it's effectively week 12. I admit I've been slacking a little. The daily grind of the program is pretty intensive so once they added in "mix up the moves with whatever else you want to do" I slacked off.

That said, the instructions for week 12 are basically "keep exercising and eating healthy forever" so it's more or less back to maintenance at this point. I think I'm going to try to get back to running some, and keep doing the intensive workouts from the program on a less frequent basis. Maybe do the strength workouts MF and run TW or something? Weekend exercise is limited due to babies and mostly consists of walking them places and carrying them around. I'm amazed at how sore I was after a three-day weekend with no exercise -- pretty sure it's from hauling those toddlers around so much.

Jessica-- I'm super impressed with how well you've done. I barely did any exercise when my girls were little and I only had one at a time. Keep up the great work!

I don.t understand going off and off maintainance. IMO you are either maintaining or not.

I've been sidelined with a rotten cold since Saturday. I haven't been on the scale. I finally showered today - much of it spent sort of propped up in the corner. Most of what I've been eating has consisted of chicken broth laced heavily with cayenne pepper, or fresh ginger tea. Can't wait to be able to hear again. As much as I can wish that Nyquil would make a colorless version of their marvelous elixir, I have not let that stop me from a nightly dose. So I'm all puffy as well. Not a great way to start the week. My main ambition for tomorrow is to make it to work to grab my laptop and come back home. I don't think my coworkers would appreciate listening to me coughing and nose-blowing.
