As a matter of fact I do have a tidy workspace -- but both my teens are slobs. Go figure.

Freelancemomma--congrats first and foremost! I always love hearing your perspective. As a 6 month maintainer, I can relate to much of what you say about yourself. Unlike you, though, I've let the exercise routine fall off. Gulp. I fear the regain, but so far so good. Hearing your story is quite reassuring. Now I'm off to find some wood to knock on. :dizzy:

Aw, how sweet. But trust me, you wouldn't want to. My teens take every opportunity to remind me that I'm a real piece of work.;)

Congratulations!!!! I don't post much, but I love reading your posts :D.

I guess I've taken sloppy maintenance to a new level, since I've regained 1/3 of what I'd initially lost :(.

I like your new goal weight, Clara. ;) It's what I would call my current eating regimen.

Congrats! It is nice when we figure out that sweet spot as far as what works for us.

Congratulations, freelance! Losing is hard, but maintenance is how your real success is measured. You maintain on 2,000 calories...wow! It must be your height. :)

Ain't that the truth. I'm a neat freak, but both of my kids (now in their 30's) prefer things to be, shall we say, more "casual" (aka disaster zone).

I'm a sloppy maintainer too, lol. I've fallen off the exercise wagon and I eat mostly healthy but too often my calories end up coming from McD's or some other restaurant, lol. I do make healthy choices though! Most of the time. I had the All-Star special at Waffle house today and enjoyed it thoroughly, and to me, you ought to be able to do stuff like that when you want to and not feel guilty about it. As long as you don't do it all the time and within moderation, it's really okay in the end.

Freelance, as usual, I read your post and feel as if I could have written it. In fact, I have not logged on in a while, but I just came on to post my own two-year success story (stay tuned). Congrats on your two-year maintenance! You've found what works for you, and that's great!
