Decision to maintain
I have been fighting with the same 10-15 pounds for a few months. I thought it was just an issue of diet fatigue, so I stopped tracking my calories for a week or two but I continued to weigh every other day. It turns out that I stayed within the same weight range. So I thought I would start again and get the last 10 pounds off.
A few days ago I took a photo of myself to send to a friend and I was shocked by my appearance. I definitely DO NOT need to lose the last 10 pounds. My neck is very thin and my clavicles are showing. My jaw line is prominent and my once round face, now shows a bit of sagging at the smile lines. I am starting maintenance today and I will try to forget the BMI chart. 153 will be my final goal weight. 160 will be my danger weight. |
Great job! They say a picture is worth a thousand words so glad you decided to send it to a friend.

Congratulations!
I also find that pictures can be very revealing! Sometimes what we see in our head is not the truth. Welcome to maintenance! |
Good for you and congratulations! :)

Congrats!

:bravo: Charts are not always accurate for everyone. I carry a lot of muscle so, according to the BMI, I'm almost "fat". NOT!
Glad you've accepted what your body and face are saying to you. Dagmar :dizzy: |
Congratulations! I agree, charts are not always right. At my goal weight of 140 and 5'5" I "should" have needed to lose another 15 lbs. Not on my muscular frame. Well done! Glad you're feeling so great!
