I'm feeling absolutely huge. I haven't weighed this much in years-- probably 4 years.
You and me, both, Michele.

And I've been spot-on with my daily calories so I don't get what's going on. I'll get my workout done today. I did skip Saturday due to our little day trip and although I didn't "work out" on Sunday, all the chores we did for three hours should have equaled a 30 minute jog!

Me three. I got down to 139.9 two weeks ago. Today I was at 142. It is driving me insane.

DH has lost close to 30 pounds this year. He looks fantastic, feels good. Losing weight easily with dietary changes. Of course this made me snip out and pick a fight last night as I was already out of sorts from the day in general and something he said made me feel criticized for counting calories, which wasn't what he was trying to do at all. I'm trying to learn how to be generous and not jealous and to hear what is actually said without my own story behind it.

We are good friends with my neighbors across the street, hang out a lot. They just had a baby on 7/29. Sunday night their car broke down on the side of the interstate about 75 miles away from us. They called us to ask for help, DH went and picked them up in the pouring down rain. Yesterday I drove the guy back to garage where his car was towed. Long drive. Tired.

What good neighbors you are !

Shannon Yes, what good neighbours you are!

Bargoo How are you doing? Is food tasting any better? And were you able to find something that's calorie dense that will help you gain a bit of weight back?

I'M HOME! :twirly: :D The dogsit was a tough one. :tired: :faint:

Now to start getting the new house together and to start packing up the old one. I can't wait to move!

And now I'm going to go and stretch - something I've truly missed being able to do for the last 10 days. :yoga:

Thanks Bargoo and Dagmar, I believe that we are good neighbors. Now that I'm not so tired I like that. :)

Particularly as I talk to one of my friends about her neighborhood where people on the HOA board are 'consulting attorneys' about the kids that play in the cul-de-sac and make too much noise. People people people.

Bargoo - how are you? You have been on my mind often lately.

Good morning! My first big deadline at work is over. Phew. Things are fine otherwise, just busy busy busy. Feeling a bit out of sorts this morning because the babies only nursed for 5 mins then freaked out screaming, again. Every time I think we're past this, it starts again! Very frustrating. I feel bad for getting so angry with them about it. It's mostly Cecilia -- Allison nurses just fine unless she hears Cecilia crying. I think I need to give up on tandem nursing and do them one at a time, but I need DH to be around to keep the one who has to wait for her food calm, and usually I feed them while he's in the shower in the morning.

Good morning! We had an exceptionally cool day yesterday with a sprinkling of rain in the evening and woke to snow capped mountains. I think that officially means summer is over now.

Jessica~I understand how frustrating it can be to have a baby who doesn't cooperate with how you feel she should act. My son was difficult for the first 6 or 8 months. The worst being that he'd spend all the time nursing fussily and then projectile vomit it all back up again. Thankfully he did outgrow that and I'm sure your girls will, too.

Could your DH bottle feed the screamy one first while you bathe, and then you feed the other while he's in the shower?

Not that I have any experience with this sort of thing at all but it generally works for kittens and puppies.

Jessica-- that does sound frustrating! Luckily my girls nursed happily and it was usually a relaxing time for us-- though we did have much projectile spitting up....
I'm so glad you are able to nurse them though.... I feel it is so important if you are able.

Only I can go shopping during a fire drill!

We had a fire drill today and I was admiring someone's shoes (Toms). I went online and couldn't find them but found another cute pair (of course). Guess it's better than eating!

Giving Thanks

This weekend is our "Thanksgiving" in Canada. It's the first time I can remember truly being thankful for most of the things in my life.

I think back to this time last year and shudder.

I am going to enjoy this truly special weekend in my life by celebrating with DH and both cats and by starting to decorate and really move in to our new home.

Dagmar :turkey:

DH and I are doing a joint project  today. I'm going to be really careful and mindful about what I say to him. He thinks his meeting with the proposed new owners of the business he works for and with their financial advisors didn't go well and he's quite depressed. :(

Now I'm not going to let him hang the curtains crooked or anything but the minimum of snippiness  is in order for me today.

When morale is low in our house this :coach: and this :drill: are NOT effective for DH.

Good luck, Dagmar.

And have a very happy Thanksgiving weekend.

Mudpie 10-12-2013 02:18 PM

The new furniture came. It is totally AWESOME! My intuition about colour holds firm - two things that shouldn't have really gone together look amazing in the living room. And it's super comfy too which our old sofa, on which we all have to squeeze, is not.

It's starting to really be a home now. :woohoo:
