Saef - I didn't talk about it, actually. I wasn't sure I would finish the 10k before I had to make the turn back and do 5k or keep going for 10k decision during the actual race, so I didn't announce it in advance in case I failed. I have been struggling to get my exercise back on track lately, and this was only my fourth run since 5/19 when I turned in a terrible 5k time for the first race in this series. I'll copy over what I wrote on FB about Sunday's 10k: Originally Posted by saef

My worst 10k time ever this morning, yet here I am posting it and proud of it... I'm 41. I'm healthy, I have a wonderful family, great friends, a good job that keeps a roof over my head and food on the table, AND I finished a 10k today on only my fourth run since May 18th. So many people in the world woke up today without so much, and some didn't wake today at all, but I woke up and ran. And I'm happy."
So, I feel pretty good about it. I'm working on accepting myself for where I am now and not comparing myself to what I used to do. I'm getting better.
