Same with mixed drinks - too many hidden side effects in most liqueurs and mixers. So, poor me (:D) is limited to the world of craft beers, wines, and single malt Scotches. What an awful existence. ;)

You gave me a new idea--to be super sensitive to artificial stuffs! I think that would cancel out most fattening foods.

C&CGirl, hey, feel free to use it! It does put the brakes on a whole lot of processed foods for sure. It's a rare day when I feel like tangling with 3-4 pounds of rapid-onset inflammation/water gain, so it does keep me fairly honest. :D

Haha, thanks! :) I was about to nibble on an Oreo cookie this morning when I remembered how "processed" and fake it'll taste. So I skipped it, whoopee! :))

Day 1! Avoided everything else, downed 4oz of a classic Chardonnay 12%

A particularly good pairing is an Australian shiraz (they tend to be full and berry like) and triple decker fudge cake :hat:

Dagmar ;)

There's a message about our relationship with food when we can turn any question into food porn, LOL.

I feel my tastes have at least evolved to a finer plane Bill. My pairing used to be hostess cupcakes and vodka shots. :barf:

Dagmar

Okay, i just had a night of drinking with friends last night. I thought i really blew up my diet. I drank a shot of Bacardi 151 and 5 cocktails in less than an hour. Got really tipsy, but didn't throw up. When i woke up the next morning, i was 2 pounds lighter, and my belly is literally SO FLAT. :D I'm dumbstruck! My tummy has never been THIS flat since forever!! :D

ALCOHOL > CAKE

Alcohol dehydrates, where sugar often bloats.

Sounds like a no win situation to me.

5 drinks in less than an hour plus a shot of 151 would have me losing plenty of weight....I'd be getting my stomach pumped at the E/R!!

I had 5-6 Imperial IPAs last night (can't remember). Lost 1.2lbs this morning. Working hard today to make sure it don't come back!
