Taking a wee 3FC hiatus
 

"The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing."

I've been thinking a lot about that quote, and it seems to sum up where I am in my life right now. For a while now I've had too many balls up in the air in my personal and work lives (I've shared some of them here, but not all) and I feel like I need to back off on something in order to maintain my sanity.

I am absolutely still tracking and maintaining, but I need to gain some time and I think it's going to have to come from the time I've been spending here. I already hadn't been contributing to the Maintainers' daily chat the way I wanted to, and it seems unfair to pop in only when it's convenient for me.

I'll be around. :) I owe the people of 3FC so much, and I want to give back to the community that helped me when I needed it the most. So I fully intend to show up again in the future, when my life has a more stable pattern to it.

Sorry if this whole post is slightly narcissistic, but I didn't want to disappear without giving some info - I always wonder where some posters go, and I didn't want to be one of those people.

Jen, no you don't sound narcissistic, not at all.

We'll be here when you have a little time for this place again.

Or maybe it was just a launching pad and you don't need it. That's okay, too. I think everyone needs to use the site in whatever way works best for them.
