Dagmar, have you thought about getting a doggie seatbelt for Chloe (or asking her owners to buy one)? I know my sister has a harness for her dog that clips into the seatbelt and keeps her from moving around too much.
Well, my wrist is screwed up again. Or wrists, as the case may be. Don't know what happened by I now can't bend my left wrist and my right is aching. I took yesterday off work to give them a rest from typing but it doesn't seem to have helped. I am splinting and icing and taking the new NSAID the tailbone doctor had prescribed me and I sure hope they get better soon. My doctor's office never called back about a referral to an endocrinologist so I guess I ought to call them... |
Okay, now I'm even more frustrated. DH had called my doctor's office a few days ago asking about a referral to an endocrinologist, but the doctor was on vacation and they said they'd call back. Today they called me back and said they want to see me first because the doctor doesn't think that my plantar fasciitis and tailbone problems could be related to my thyroid. Okay, well, she never believed that my wrist and knee problems were related to my thyroid and they obviously were, so I don't know what the deal is here, but I'm annoyed because I'm afraid I'm going to go in and she's just going to say, oh, you just have bad genes, too bad for you. My insurance doesn't require her referral for me to see an endo so regardless of what she says I think I'm going to go to an endo anyway, but I'm annoyed about it and worried that she will dismiss all my concerns. I'll go see her in case she has some other ideas, but I will be really pissed off if she says there is nothing wrong with me when there obviously is something going on.

Chloe chewed all the way through the "people" seatbelt in less than 2 minutes. I just need to remain calm and assertive with her. All 4 dogs on this walk "bug" me to some extent and Chloe has been getting the brunt of my frustration because she is expressing her frustration through aggression.
I stayed really calm today and walked everyone on leash quite slowly. We stopped and watched some parasailors for a couple of minutes. The other 3 dogs sat down, without any prompting from me. Chloe tried to incite them but they all stayed calm. She finally stood off to one side. Still hyper as heck but waiting for me to make the next move. We also did the group "sit and stay calm" when the mailman brought the mail to Mikki's house. Chloe even sat with the others through that. CALM - STAY CALM. I need to tattoo it on my hand. Great evening all! Dagmar :tired: |
