Suggestions on this recipe

Last night I wanted like Apple Cobbler or something. So I diced up an apple and threw some cinnamon on it and put it the microwave. I then put some vanilla greek yogurt with cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg in it. It was good, but obviously missing the crunch of cobbler and not quite what I wanted.

So tonight I was going to try it again, but use maybe a little cream cheese or tofuitti cream cheese sweetened with a little agave nectar, vanilla and lemon juice. Then I was going to add a little low sugar or maybe homemade granola on it. I'm wondering how I can improve this and possibly lower the cals on it. My snacks are usually around 200 cals, and I think this will be well over that, but by controlling the proportions I can probably make it work.

What about adding some oatmeal? Make it more like a crisp than a cobbler. Not sure it helps with the calories but it would give you some crunch.

I was going to say oatmeal, too. Maybe... I don't know, bake the oatmeal or something? To make it stand up to the liquids more? Hhm. I'll think some more. But that sounds tasty! :D

Yes, you can toast the oatmeal on the stovetop and that should add some crunch. You may also want to consider popped rice or hazelnuts (which are higher calorie but still tasty).

Maybe try Food Talk & Fabulous Finds? Foodies may frequent that board.

I'd suggest Grape Nuts or toasted walnuts but you're trying to lower the calories.

The only other thing that occurred to me is Shredded Wheat.

Sometimes I toss on some Fiber One cereal when I'm looking for some crunch.
