My belief is:
  • Food Intake = Weight-loss and Maintenance of Weight-loss
  • Nutrition = Health
  • Exercise = Fitness
If "fitness" isn't your goal,
and you hate exercise,
Then Choosing to Take-a-Pass-on-Exercise seems fine to me.

I'm constantly tweaking. I have pretty consistent fitness goals, but change the routes I take to get there fairly often. I tweak my food and diet a lot as well - often because I have a few high days and have to come back down a little. :)

Thank you :D, but why? I mean, I've been reading this forum long enough to know that everyone's nice and won't insult me for not exercising

I'm another one who is pretty much just looking to maintain - stay within my happy weight range.

I'm not looking to tone this, increase that, flatten this, build up that.

I just really, really, really want to stay this healthy weight. :)

I'm also just maintaining and very happy this way.

I'm still in the process of trying to peel off just a few more pounds, while slooooooowly raising my daily calorie limit, trying to find my maintenance sweet spot, but in many ways, I've been in maintenance mode for the last ten (vanity) pounds. Maintenance is really my only goal; I'm happy with my general fitness level, and not particularly interested in trying to sculpt my body or run a faster mile or anything like that.

I bounce within the same 5 pounds or so all the time, constantly gaining and losing. But if I notice I'm *consistently* a pound or two higher overall, I'll try to eat better.

I at this point do not exercise. Which is bad, I realize. Everytime I try I end up quitting. =( For now I've taken the practical approach to at least be getting some exercise.. I walk at college, a lot, and I have a meal plan but live a ways from the cafeteria so it's a 15 minute walk just to get food. So I probably walk about an hour total each day, and I ALWAYS take the stairs, never the elevator. I try to challenge myself and do two steps at a time, never holding the railing.

So I don't exercise, but I do try to be not a complete couch potato. =)
