Maggianos Calamari Calories

Howdy,
Tomorrow is my first official treat meal since goal. I should be at 140, 5# down, and feeling great. I want to order the Calamari at Maggianos with some bread/olive oil, salad no dressing, and a good dark beer. I can estimate the bread & olive oil, what should I do about the calamari? Their nutritional info isn't posted. I could just compare it to other calamari as is my habit but I thought I would ask and see if others have a better search engine.

I love calamari! Is it fried or grilled? I'd go with an estimate from the daily plate based on prep style and portion size. Then there is something to work with :)
Enjoy!

I would compare it to posted numbers from a similar place, Olive Garden maybe?

Good ideas. Fried.
When will restaurants be required to have nutritional information posted? Maybe the new law hasn't take effect yet.

It is only effective in a few states so far Karen, the ones that voted it in on their own before the most recent law. It will take restaurants some time to get the info ready - and I think that part of the bill isn't mandated until 2011.

The best part of having legal requirements for nutrition information in at least some states is that people go and take photos of the menus to help people out in the non-required states.

A half order is around 780 calories.

It is required here in California now for larger chain restaurants. I'm just wondering how/where you found this Amanda? It would be great to know!

I googled "Maggianos Little Italy Nutrition", which led to a forum post (first search result) that linked to the photobucket album of the person who took the pictures of the nutritionals.

You beat me to the post. My exact question.

Amanda, gratis for taking the time to look. I ended up eating a 1/4 of the order, happily full, not stuffed and down 0.2#. Maintanence is very much a journey as was weight loss. And I am fine with it taking whatever time it needs to. I estimated 440 from Olive Garden Sampler Italiano, not that I have ever seen the dish mind you.
