WOW, That's a SMALL WIFE!
 

I don't know if you would call this a maintaince NSV or a what, but I can't stop giggling about it and thought you guys would think it was funny too. :D

First, a little back ground. Our local pharmacy/drug store is in a little town about 12 miles away. It's small and quaint, and you could probably do all your Christmas shopping there...it's packed with "stuff".

A month or so ago I had to pick up a prescription. I haven't needed any meds for probably 2 years. (Prior to that I was in there every other week with an ailment.) So probably the last time the Pharmacist had seem me was maybe 2 months into my weight loss when I needed an antibiotic for an abscessed tooth. Anyway, the Pharmacist/owner, (A VERY nice looking dude), kept looking at the name on the prescription and then would look at me...finally he asked if I was the Lori who live 12 miles east out in the country...You know, Chucks wife? I smiled and told him yes, that was me and he said, "Where have you been, Ethiopia?" Okay, I was a little taken back by his comment, but knowing this guy has a very odd sence of humor, I just smiled and gave him the quick version of my weight loss efforts and left the store laughing.

So on Monday my husband goes into the Drug Store to look for some greeting cards and the Pharmacist comes over to him and starts to chit-chat. He tells my husband that he saw me awhile back and was shocked at how much weight I had lost "all on my own..." He goes on to ask my Husband if he's ever seen that "Staples" Commercial on TV. It's the one were the guys are standing in the office supply store and one yells to the other, "WOW, that's a LOW PRICE". My husband tells him yes, he has seen it before and then the Pharmacist Yells at the top of his lungs, in the store, full of people, "WOW, that's a SMALL WIFE!".

My husband laughed so hard he was in tears when he left. He now has to tell that story to everyone we see. Too funny. ;)

That is really funny! BTW - I know you have had your new pic up for a while but just wanted to say you look so happy and just "sunny" in that pic it makes me smile every time I see one of your posts!

That's a great story and must have you glowing at your accomplishment. It also illustrates what an enormous thing it is to find the strength within your self to turn your life around and how admirable that is. Not to mention the fact that you look really cute now.

I just want to say that you are such an inspiration to me. Your "tell it like it is is" posts here on 3fc are kind of like a radio playing in my head when I even think about justifying a slip in my diet. It is exactly the kind of talk that I need to hear.

Okay, Lori Bell, now I love your pharmacist: A guy with a sense of humor that I can appreciate. (Is he single? Will he move to NY? Kidding. Partly.) What a great way of expressing his admiration at your accomplishment. I'm so glad someone said something nice, particularly someone with a medical background of a sort who's got a sense of what you've done. Especially I appreciate this when I think of the old hens in your town who've been giving you grief over having upset the old established pecking order.
