Wedding photos
I finally got all the photos uploaded. Probably way more photos than you guys are interested in, but here they are!
http://gloriana.myphotoalbum.com/vie...album12&page=1
We also finally got our wedding DVD, it's really lovely. EXCEPT. The last minute or so closes with an instrumental version of "It Must Have Been Love."
I guess they've never actually heard the song?
It must have been love, but it's over now
It must have been good, but I lost it somehow
It must have been love, but it's over now
From the moment we touched till the time had run out

Wow Glory, what beautiful pictures! Everyone looks so happy, and you look beautiful. I love the red Chinese lanterns in the background of some of the shots. Thanks for sharing, and congratulations!
Maybe they just really like the happy love parts of "It Must Have Been Love"...? Oops...gives you something to laugh about, at least.

LOL Glory - you look beautiful, but I'm laughing because my DJ was supposed to play "You're my best friend" by Queen to introduce us. Instead, he went to the wrong track, and the first lyrics we heard as wives were from "Somebody to Love".
Each morning I get up I die a little
Can barely stand on my feet
Take a look in the mirror and cry
Lord what you're doing to me
I have spent all my years in believing you
But I just can't get no relief, Lord!
Somebody, somebody
Can anybody find me somebody to love?

Neat pictures, Glory - thanks for sharing those.
LOL at the faux pas due to the words of "It Must Have Been Love." Hope you give them a clue.

Hee thanks guys! I did email the venue (who have been fabulous) and mentioned that while I thought the song was hilarious, a more sensitive bride might have pitched a fit. The song was on the Pretty Woman sdtrk which I pretty much WORE OUT in the early 90s, so I can't even hear the music without hearing the words in my head! Maybe a younger bride wouldn't recognize the tune?
Oh, the beginning of wedding DVD opens with "My Heart Will Go On" which I also would not have picked - hello, the guy died?
The DVD is otherwise spectacular!
The wedding was completely wonderful in every way, just an amazing day!

Oh songs and wedding DVD's. I think Amanda's music "mix-up" just may be worse. Oy. Our wedding video, which was 24 years ago - it starts off playing the theme to, I don't know how many of you will remember this, the tv show DALLAS. It's on there for so long - and it's awful!
Glory the pictures are just beautiful. BEAUTIFUL. Thanks for sharing them. Love your hair and the veil and the - everything. Your wedding shoes - GORGEOUS. And we just started looking for my DD and have not been doing so well - yours would be perfect - can I ask where you got them from?

Absolutely gorgeous, Glory! You must be so happy.
We made the dinner soundtrack for our wedding reception, and somewhere in the middle included Jimmy Buffett singing "Why Don't We Get Drunk And...". Apparently some of our friends were actually listening to the music, because there was an outbreak of hysterical laughter when the song came on. Parents didn't notice though...

Hey Robin, if your daughter wears a size 8, I will gladly box them up and mail them to you! Otherwise, they are from beachcombers.com
They are indian wedding shoes! They don't come with a right/left, so I had to break them in a little. They were reasonably priced and super comfortable! I looked and looked for flat, ivory shoes, but everything was either 1) super plain (reminding of dyeable prom shoes) or 2) super expensive.
I ordered them off amazon.com, here are the ones I got:

Our DJ had a minor hiccup. I convinced Jason to dance (which he did to make me happy), we made it almost all the way through the song and DJ's Sony VAIO laptop (some of you will know what that's extra special funny) crapped out, the song ended. So, we had to start from the beginning! That was pretty much the only wedding glitch, but I got 2 dances, so it was okay with me!
