I'm grateful:
  • that February is the shortest month in the year!
  • for frozen blueberries in my protein shake
  • for kitty friends
  • for Fitday - all the way back to June, 2001!
  • and for flannel sheets on cold mornings

I'm grateful for:

babies!! And their mommies! And their terrific supportive families!
Yams (did I say that last month?)
That when I am awake in Mountain Standard Time at oh-dark-thirty on a Monday morning, I know that Meg is up in PA, starting a thread, having coffee and getting ready to hit the gym.
Turkey bacon
My family cleaned the house (sort of) yesterday

  • that last nights dream - that seemed so incredibly real and long lasting- was just a dream and NOT reality. The dream? That I would have needed midwife's assistance.
  • haircuts - I'm loving the one I got yesterday
  • fantastic kitchen stores to browse around in - and shop in too
  • that spring is not all that far off, though it sure feels like it is
  • Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice tea

- for yesterday's weight lifting session after 9 days of no weights
- For Alleve, after yesterday's weights
- for the gift cards I got from Big Peach for Christmas since I need new running shoes
- DH getting half of last year's pay cut back in February and that they will get 401 (k) matching again, company is holding their own
- that I only ate half of the onion rings I indulged in for lunch instead of the whole container, and that I feel kind of icky so am not likely to do that again soon

  • snow boots
  • that my youngest DD passed her huge (a LOT riding on it) exam that she had been studying so hard for
  • Sunkist oranges
  • being faced with oodles of *off* plan foods and not being bothered/tempted by it one bit. LOVE when that happens as was the case last night at a party
  • roasted cauliflower & broccoli (what I ate plenty of before I headed out to last night's party)

These all are going to have a theme...
-My first ever ten minute mile completed last night
-My second ever ten minute mile, completed during the same workout
-My treadmill in the garage since the sun never came out yesterday afternoon
-My fantastic headphones that DH bought me for Christmas, that I wore on the treadmill last night during the ten minute mile(s)
-Metallica - specifically "Master of Puppets" during the ten minute mile(s)

Love the theme Shannon!

* For a phone call from DH this morning (he's in Hawaii)
* For a continued warmish (for us) weather patttern, and no snow while DH is away
*
* a good night's sleep
* being off the church council (after 4 years; completed my last task - hiring a new church secretary - last night)

Today I am grateful for:
  • a body that still rocks out on the elliptical despite so many years of abuse
  • satellite radio on my iPhone to rock out by
  • a fully stocked freezer in preparation for the weekend's snowstorm
  • fresh blueberries in February -- on sale
  • sharing a laugh with DH at 5 am
