  • No thin mints, say it ain't so !
OK, Ok, I will take the pledge, I will buy some and take them to church for coffee break, but I will NOT eat one.
  • None for me, thank you. Sending mine to the troops
  • I haven't had a Girl Scout Cookie since I started - I'm in.
  • I haven't had one of those in years, and I don't plan to start now.

I think Meg's saying might have come about with Girl Scout Cookies in mind:

One cookie is too many and a dozen are not enough.

  • I'm in.
    No problem.
There are so very many MORE DELICIOUS cookies out there.
  • I'm in. I could polish off a box in no time. I have 2 girl scouts, so I'll still buy a couple boxes. I'll just take them to work.

Ooops. I just realized that I'm in the maintainers forum. I came in from the front page. I'm still holding firm on not having any.
  • Hey Wendy, we're glad you're here! Everyone is welcome in the Maintainers forum, no matter where you are in your weight loss journey.

  • I pledge no girl scout cookies will come into my house this year! They are so hard to resist and this is the only way I won't eat them
  • I'm in. Before my journey a sleeve of Girl Scout Thin Mints was a serving. Ouch.

[And, I've been known to have two servings, LOL.]

Bill, among us addicts, that's known as doing a line of Thin Mints.
  • I'm taking the pledge.

I was driving home from the gym & NPR or something had a program on about the Girl Scout drive & mentioned a new dulce de leche cookie. Well, I hadn't had dinner yet, so I started having this food porn moment, fantasizing what such a cookie would be like. And then I practically crossed myself while driving, to drive away the devil & the temptation this image represented. I reminded myself that packaged cookies are never as good as you think they're going to be. But even worse for me is the remorse afterward.

So, none for me. Won't eat even a crumb.
  • I'm in! I did this last year with good success, and plan to continue. I have several employees with kids in scouts, so I support them, but the cookies don't come to my house.
  • Dulce de leche cookie. Oh my word.

I'm in on the cookie pledge, though I do allow myself a small amount of the Edy's Light Samoa ice cream, so I'm not excluding that. I can handle ice cream fine if it is in a gallon tub I have to measure out, so this not coming in a pint keeps me safe!
