I would like to lose the final 10 pounds and maintain. My biggest goal (food wise) I think for 2010 is to help my husband lose his weight (per his request) and for us to eat healthier all of the time.

I am making a new year's resolution to , this year, stick to my diet and exercise plans. I realized in the past couple of months that I have gained so much weight and that was never my plan. But now my weight is causing me health problems. (5 vials of blood taken Thursday!) So, for 2010, NO more excuses, NO more lying, and No more lazy!!

I will be working toward spending the entirety of 2010 under 150 lbs and staying there. Make significant progress toward what I would call an "active" lifestyle, with some milestones for flexibility.

I'm feeling enthused about 2010!

My feasible goals for the year:
1) Get back down to 135, then determine whether I want to get back to 130 or I want to move my "goal" up to 135 to account for added muscle. Stay within +/- 5lbs of whatever weight I decide on for the rest of the year.
2) Be able to do a full standard push-up.
3) Run 5k in 34 minutes.
4) Do at least one triathlon and beat my time from last year.
5) Not health-related, but quit letting money pile up in my checking account and actually invest it.

My dreams for the year:
1) Run 5k in 30 minutes.
2) Be able to do 10 standard push-ups.

Just want to be a maintainer. I've never held steady for more than a few months at a time. I want to do that in 2010.

Susan, I'm saving the seat next to me just for you. This is going the year that you become a maintainer and STAY a maintainer!

I checked back to see my goals, for 2009 and did not find that thread back. Still, i remember \i wanted to get a better body and be able to do pushups and pullups.

The good news is I can now do 10 pushups easily. The bad news is I still cannot do a pullup. but i did do enableing steps and I now can do 3 asssisted pullups at my home & got the stuff to make me better at pullups.
And my body looks way better, I did put in a new bathroom, learned to put in electric floor heating, a floor, tiles, grout, put in fixtures & ripped out the old ceiling and redid that...and kept raising my 2 kids. That I feel is quite an accomplishement and I pat myself on the back for that. oh, and i kept my job in this economy. I'm also very proud that i managed that. it was not due to luck.

My resolution for 2010 is to get more time for myself and to spend more time on me-time. Spend more time on getting back my health and continue to care for my kids and raise them to be responsible adults. AND I want to be able to do a real pullup.

My resolution this year is to get back to my maintenance weight and get my minor health issues straightened out. I'm also planning on going back to college in the fall of 2010.

Reading the 2009 thread was a disappointing walk down memory lane. I achieved none of my goals. My DH did keep his job, however, which was a hope, and we recovered what we lost in our retirement accounts, another hope.

Goals

Take a quilting class.
Read a classic.
Stay below my red line all year.
Find a gym or class at my current gym that I like to go to.

My 2010 resolution is to maintain my weight at or just under 160 lbs!

This WILL happen!

I'm not a maintainer at goal, I will be by the end of the year, so I thought I'd go ahead and post here.

1.) Get down to my goal weight and maintain
2.) Run the St. Jude 5K
3.) Complete at least one craft project (I've got the starting part down )
4.) Take a vacation, hopefully to Italy

It's weird to think that I won't be starting the new year by resolving to "lose all the weight, eat right and exercise more."

1) Maintain my weight loss, and lose the final 10 lbs.

2) Truly incorporate weight lifting into my exercise program.

3) Train for a half marathon & improve my 5k time along the way.

4) Hike four 14'ers.

Non-diet related resolutions include stop spending money on useless crap, be better about keeping the house clean, and move myself in line for a team lead position at work.

I am greeting 2010 with true gratefulness! This is the first year in 20+ years that I have not started a new year with the resolution to lose weight. Go me!

1. Stay a maintainer. I plan to maintain at 130-135.
2. DH and I will do the c25k again this Spring. I don't like running in the cold. And we hope/plan to do an actual 5k this year with no specific time goals.
3. Keep up my exercise which shouldn't be a problem because I'm addicted to the way it makes me feel.
4. Clean my closets and really declutter my house. I have been saying this for years and this is the year that it will happen!

losermom~

I totally agree -- I am so grateful and *so* happy to enter 2010 as a maintainer! My dream has already come true. I just need to keep on keepin' on.

My goals and dreams:

Stay a maintainer.
Continue to take more pictures.
Have a **** of a lot of fun.

Congrats to ALL of you!
