Oh no- just put on my jeans that I haven't worn all summer :(
Hi all,
All summer I've been wearing capri pants and shorts. It's getting cooler here, so this morning I put on a pair of jeans that I haven't worn since spring-AAAARGGHH-they're tight!!!
I've considered myself a maintainer for a few months now, but the scales have been creeping up this summer and I've put 4 lbs back on. Just enough to make my jeans uncomfortable.
Gotta get back on plan and stop eating the junk that I've allowed myself to eat recently.
Doesn't it just stink about how easy it is to gain a few pounds??
The good news is that you caught it NOW and not when it turned into 10, 15, 20 pounds ... You're a pro at this and can take care of those four pounds in no time at all. And just think how good it will feel to slip into those jeans and zip 'em up, no problem.
I had the exact same experience about a month ago!! Aren't skirts and capris some FORGIVING clothes? I was up SEVEN POUNDS (zoinks!!) but I'm already down 4 and back in my jeans. JUST IN TIME for fall!
In theory, yeah 2 lbs per week, but man that is hard for me!
I just know I'd better get a handle on it now, or I'm going to be continuing the yoyo dieting cycle that I usually follow
Ditto what Meg and everyone said. Yes, it stinks your pants are tight, but at least you can still get them on. You've caught this at 4 pounds and not 15! (Trust me, that stinks. ) I think wearing tight pants when you're trying to take off a few pounds is sort of helpful. If I go to a party in tight jeans, that waistband is a reminder to me to not overindulge!
I ran in to the same problem 3 or 4 weeks ago. Thankfully, like you I'm up a small enough number that I'll be able to fit into 'em before it gets really chilly. Already down 3 pounds, and hope to be down another pound or two before our wedding on the 25th. Between rehearsal, wedding dinner, following day's brunch, and then the 8 day honeymoon.... I definitely won't be losing, but hopefully maintaining that loss, and back in those pants before Thanksgiving.
