Funny, as I was writing about my weekend plans, I was thinking something just like that. I now LOVE socializing, but that's what most often does me in. I was thinking how much "easier" it would be to maintain my weight without so much of it.

And if you think this weekend sounds scary. Wait til you hear next weeks scheduele. I HAVE 4 parties next week. Count em, 1 - 2 - 3 - 4. One Friday night. Two on Saturday and one on Sunday. And each one is a "biggie". Oodles and oodles of food. Grrrrr.....

Yes, the buffet is not a pretty place for most. I'm going in with the intention of eating only veggies and the fruit. If I'm lucky there may be a carving station and there will be cooked turkey breast. Honestly, I don't know how it will turn out.

I've been doing lots of shopping for all these upcoming party. I have a gorgeous outfit that I bought yesterday at Annie Sez for Saturday nights party.

Yesterday was POP.

Jessica, congrats on the weigh-in.

Mindy, gosh you do not sound like you had a great time at the dentist. Hope you are feeling better today.

Have a great day folks.

You'll have a blast! My first tri was so much fun, I didn't want it to end. I'm actually volunteering at a triathlon this weekend -- since I've raced it a couple of times previously, I figured it was time to "give back"! I'm looking forward to it.

Yesterday was POP. Today's plan:

Exercise: Run [done!], Push-mow the lawn

Food:
Clif bar and coffee with stevia
Polenta and roasted green beans
Black bean burrito with veggies
Frozen banana

Josephine - after I'm done reading maintainers I'm going to go create a triathlon chat thread on the Exercise forum. You should join it!

Glory - I didn't get a chance to read your post before coming home, so I still have the (unopened) caramel corn. DH knows about it now, so it is coming with us to the country this weekend to be our weekend sweet treat. There's only 1 cup in the bag so it shouldn't be too bad.

Well, yesterday's weigh-in was a fluke I guess. 140.6 again today. It is TOM though, so I usually count Saturday as my "official," but I will be away from my scale. At least I didn't gain this week, and I feel like I might be able to post a loss next week!

Friday:
B - muesli, skim milk
S - banana
L - some sort of canned soup, I think
S - two apples, yogurt
D - planning on pasta with sauce and broccoli
Exercise - 30 min dog wog c25k w3d6 - Done!

I did really, really well at Saturday's parties!!!!

During the afternoon one, I was lucky enough that they had whole turkeys that they were carving. So, I ate some turkey breast. Also had some great hearts of palm and tomato salad. For dessert I had fruit.

The evening one. They had salmon. I was thrilled. I ate that, along with some beet salad, some pepper strips and came dessert time - I took a plate and loaded it up with some fruit and 4 bites of 4 different cakes. 2 of the cakes were really, really good - a strawberry shortcake and a lemon merinuge. I almost went back for more, but left instead. It was late enough, I had danced enough and certainly eaten enough. So overall for the day, I was definitely over on my calories. Lots of extra protein and a bit over on the fruit. But overall, I am fairly pleased.

My outfit was FANTASTIC and I got oodles of compliments on it. Certainly helped me to avoid all the tempting foods.

Looking forward to a "normal" routine day today.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Rockinrobin, I smiled the whole way thru your post!

I have been mostly OP, hard for me to do measuring with eating out so I'm trying to overestimate when I log in my calories. This morning I ate oatmeal with soy milk, no honey. I generally stay away from this food b/c it can trigger stuff. Well, I'm starving right now. I will have a protein type snack and remember this for the future when I want to "give it another try."

Hi kitty. Glad I made you smile, you in turn made ME smile. So - thanks.

Anyway, I wanted to comment on you "giving something another try". You know, often I think I would like to change something up every now and then. Try something different. But I'm alway SO darn afraid that it won't fill me and then I'll be *stuck* for the day - hungry and then of course I'll have to eat something *extra* or it'll bring on cravings or whatever. And everything will be all out of whack. That's why I mostly stick to the same things. Nothing beats tried and true.

I also overestimate calories when I don't know what they are for sure. At least I hope that I do.

Kitty, I make my oatmeal with a scoop of protein powder, 2 tsp peanut butter, and some cut up fruit. It makes for a lot of food and keeps me really full.
