But my gym does offer a fitness assessment with the five point calipers test and I'm planning to avail myself of that soon.

That actually sounds about right to me. I'm about your height and when I weighed 150 lbs, that's the size I wore as well. Granted, I wasn't doing any body fat analysis at that time because, well, I didn't want to know. But a size 14 doesn't sound unusual to me for your height and weight.

I'll say it. I am not willing to go that low ever. If this is the weight I have to stay at to not go that low I will stay here. But considering the amount of junk I ate recently, I am pretty confident that if I just stick with what got me here that I will get to where I want to be...it might just take longer. I am willing to have the last 10 lbs take a long time if need be.

I dont see me going below 1800 average. I may have to reevaluate if ds ever stops nursing, but I have had this body for a long time and I dont know how feasible I find that for a long term thing. Right now I try to stay below 2000, but average about 22-2300 for a week.

I was pretty happy the other day to run the numbers and realize that 120 is an unrealistic weight for me....it would put my bodyfat lower than I ever want it to go.

3beans,

I hesitated to respond as I have only maintained my weight loss for 3 months, but my goal was 10 lbs above where I am right now. My secondary goal was to get 15 lbs below my goal weight to give myself some space for Christmas. I made that 15 lbs below my goal weight the week before Christmas. I liked 175, but for whatever reason, I have found myself fighting myself (if you know what I mean) to keep the scale at 175. I am almost to the point of saying, well heck, 180 ain't bad. Note that I said almost. I liked 175, but I , too, have to decide what I'm willing to do to keep 175. I like the way I look now, I'm in a great size (have lost 7 sizes since I started--even losing one through working on toning with a personal trainer since Christmas). I'm okay with 180, I just like 175 better. Maybe my red line will even end up being 185 as my goal really was 190 and I'm below that.
I don't keep track of calories. The program I did had me eating certain amounts of certain foods (i.e. proteins, starches, fruits, vegs, etc) I am curious about the calorie part and am thinking I should check out fit day which so many here use. Maybe I could put in what I eat and it will tell me how many calories I'm doing. I'd love to trade some of my healthy stuff for another starch (I am a starch lover and know in my heart of hearts that is probably what made me overweight, so I might not have enough guts to add another starch in exchange for fruits or vegtables). Anyway, I hope you find the weight YOU are comfortable with..the one you're willing to see often on the scale. I can't say I have totally decided. My weight loss counselor said I might be a person who has one stabilization weight for summer (when I'm far more active and able to have time to work out) and another for winter--don't know if I agree with that idea, but it's one to consider too. I have 7 weeks until I weigh in for my 6 month visit and will be paid (woo!hoo!) if I am within 5 lbs of my goal weight. I'm using that money to buy new summer clothes (the ones I bought last summer fit someone 50 lbs heavier than me :)

I think it's a long process. I've decided that I want to stay at my original goal. I'd like it to be lower, but I really like what I eat now and don't want to really change that. In fact, I am walking a bit less, eating a tad more, I'd gone on holiday and gained a few pounds, but less than 2 weeks later, I am right at my lowest again. I think what I am doing right now will keep me at this weight for the most part. I think the only thing is now I range 154-157. I'd like to range more like 151-154 but I am not going to really change anything in terms of my food. I don't know, I might change my mind later, but I think you have to go with what looks good on you. I am really comfortable at this weight and I think I look great.
