Peeking in to say hi. It's been a full week and it's only Wednesday. Whew. I spent most of Monday getting ultrasound and aminio done. Monday evening was a pre-school program, in which I must brag, my dd was not either one of the criers or one of the runners. Tuesday was filled with getting papers filled out for new insurance (ack!) and a Boy Scout Court of Honor. Lots of useless running around.

Anne-I'm glad you're feeling better.
Tara-I hope you shake off the cold.
Jessica-Good luck on the house hunt.
Meg-I hope the cats are recovering.
Pat- Enjoy your trip.

So, what, no one around today? :) Hi, Lisa! Will you find out the sex of the new baby? How many of each do you have now?

I was very excited to get up this morning and see that the temperature was 20! It's been below zero every morning for the past couple weeks. Of course, it's also supposed to snow but I'm in denail about that.

It's quiet because lily is on vacation!!!!

I was so busy today with my weekly puppet show. Thankfully we're done for another 10 months.

I did quite well with my calories today. Yesterday we went out to dinner and I chose a good meal (shrimp and vegetables) and only gained 1/2 a pound (probably the salt from the margaritas!! LOL)

Hi everyone,

Doing really well with food this week. At ~1500 cal/day for the past 3 days, and good workouts, a really good losing range for me. Last night I got home from play rehearsal and instead of normal snacking, I was very hungry so I baked a sweet potato and drank some water (I had eaten a small dinner before rehearsal, the sweet potato wasn't all I had!). It was really tasty. I'm still devising a food plan for the weekend - the problem is always that I don't know what I'll be doing ever. If we wake up and it's nice BF will want to go fishing, and there are some good bands nearby, but who knows...I must be prepared for the unexpected. I can do it, I can do it!

It looks like it's going to be sunny and warm this weekend. Perfect. Sprout, garden, sprout!

alinnell, I LOVE shrimp. Mmm. Might have to get some this weekend.

Pat, enjoy the "warm" while you have it! I hope it doesn't snow.

joyofsix, you sound so busy with your kids! You have my admiration for your patience ;)

It is quiet with Lily on vacation.

Have a great day everyone!

Ah, Megan. It DID snow, but only about 2" and it's still warm (that being a relative term  ) I'm off to Dallas tonight though, and it IS warm there!

Shrimp, yum, one of my favorite meals. I'm always scouring the meat dept for marked down packages - which I find surprisingly often! I avoid the Asian farmed stuff for the most part though. We're going out to dinner tonight, and I don't know where - which always make me a little anxious. I'm having a light lunch in any case.

See you all on Tuesday.

Hi ho,

This has been a great week. Exercise has been good, the eating clean and easy, and the phone isn't ringing very much at work. Good phone. Nice phone. :D

Earlier this week there was a conversation about super foods. I slipped an unusual candidate in today -- kiwi fruit. They were on sale at the market and I picked some up. They're fine on their own, but I especially like them stirred into fruit compote. Today's lunch was cottage cheese, with a mixture of pineapple, strawberries and kiwi. Made me feel positively springlike. For breakfast, I whipped up a protein shake with protein powder, soy milk and blueberries and had it with an oatbran muffin. We're going out to dinner -- a piece of salmon, some veggies and a slice of wholegrain bread, and I'm in business.

Rats ... the phone found me. Gotta run.

Meg 03-22-2007 04:25 PM

Robin, your menu sounds divine! :T Now I'm craving kiwis!

I was just think about summer foods - salads, grilling shrimp and fish, all the wonderful fruits, my herb garden ... can't wait! :D

We're in Florida visiting my parents. I was able to do my floor exercises and get in a 30 minute bike ride this morning.

Last night, DH tried to get me to eat one M&M. I pretended to and because I knew if I ate that one, I'd have to eat all the rest!

Meg 03-22-2007 07:27 PM

:high: Carolyn! You go, girl! (i'm exactly the same way :o )

So why was DH trying to get you to eat an M&M, hmmm?

srmb60 03-23-2007 03:26 AM

I'll bet even Robin isn't awake yet. Thankfully, I'm feeling a bit droopy. Maybe I can get a couple more hours of sleep.
Thanks for providing me with a little something to read in the middle of the night.

4rabbit 03-23-2007 05:40 AM

Hi Maintainers,

SusanB - why are you awake at the middle of the night ??? Insomnia? late shift ? jetlag ? I'm here and awake, but I am an ocean and several time zones away!

I hope you did get a good night sleep after all,

Hi to all the other maintainers

Rabbit

Airegrrrl 03-23-2007 05:56 AM

Hi Rabbit. Isn't it about lunchtime in Holland right about now? Are you feeling better? Hope so.

I'm sitting here drinking strong tea and trying to force the energy level up. I plotted out a new workout last night -- thought I'd try a routine with ALL machines, just for the heck of it -- but I didn't sleep very well and I'm having trouble stirring my stumps this A.M. I hate these kinds of mornings. I KNOW, however, that if I don't go to the gym, I'll feel rotten by about 10.

OK everyone, you convinced me. Thanks, I needed that.

Lator gators.

Meg 03-23-2007 07:04 AM

Hey Robin, post your new workout when you have a moment! It's always fun to get new ideas and shake things up. :D

srmb60 03-23-2007 08:10 AM

I did finally fall asleep again and stayed that way until 7:30. I shoulda gone for that walk when my neighbour came around last night.

Megan1982 03-23-2007 09:34 AM

Mmm, shrimp! Last night I was tiiiired from lack of sleep but went to the gym anyway. On the way home I stopped at the fish market because I wanted a "treat" (and if I didn't go to the fish market it would have been something much more unhealthy) and ended up with salmon, which I baked with fresh herbs, dijon, and lemon juice. Delicious!

Living here on the Gulf coast I am so spoiled by the wild-caught gulf shrimp. I just can't go to an Olive Garden anymore and order pasta with shrimp. The shrimp doesn't taste the same - I know it's frozen imports! I mean, besides the fact that I couldn't order a pasta dish at Olive Garden anyway, and don't go to Olive Garden anymore because I'll go nuts with carb overload/calorie overload...you get what I mean.

Robin, enjoy your workout!

Carolyn, yeah, why was DH trying to get you to eat the M&M?!

Hi everyone else! Have a great weekend!
