what dog did you lose?
 

I was applying a dry rub on my pork roast the other morning. I was shocked by the heaviness of the dish when I put it back in the fridge. It hit me that the thing weighed 21 lbs. I was thinking "Dang that thing was heavy." Then it hit me that I had lost twice that amount and plus some. From there I started going back to all the dogs we previously owned and I asked my dh what the weight was on a shephard mix dog we had years ago. He said he was around 55-60 lbs. I was :o to think that I lost that much weight to equal a dog. I mean we can go by tires or whatever but when its up against a living walking life form it's more awe inspiring. LOL!!
Just a thought.

Wow I never thought of it that way, im only 4 pounds away from losing my Pit Bull!!

In my previous life I was a Veterinary Technician and used to think of my weight loss in dogs all of the time. Weird but true! At the vet clinic I worked at I had to lift dogs up on to a waist high exam table. It was great when I realized I had lost the equvalent of a black lab. But dogs have a way of coming back home and unfortunately I found him again:^:

Only a chihuahua so far (this time), but I have my Australian Shepherd x 2 to lose, and that's a pretty scary thought!

I've lost a little more then my siberian huskey cross, Kelly. Her picture is in the pets section if you would like to see. I will eventually lose almost as much as my bc crosses Chase and Snoop.

Put together my husband and I have lost about the same amount as his daughter weighs.

Hmm... wow that means I've lost more than my keeshond!

And I easily lose more than my pudgy hedgehog with just a good weigh-in, lol!

So far I have lost a decent size golden retriever.

I lost a Murphy (that's a medium-size brown mutt)

im like six pounds shy of loosing my fur baby Lacey, an 86lb lab huskey mix

Ha! I never would have thought of it, but I've lost the equivalent of my largest dog -- a 75lb german shepard! I can't really pick her up easily and to think that I was carrying that around all the time! Great reminder! :D

I have guinea pigs and I think about how many pigs I have lost. I have lost about 25. I don't know where those 25 pigs would have fit on my body. They would be very squirmy.

I have a 13 pound Yorkie, so I've lost 3 and a half of her!

yoyoma- we had a keeshond too, may Barger Rest In Peace, and I have lost the equivalent of him, a small keeshond.

LOL, I've lost a *very* small pit bull.

I have lost two Kirby vaccuum cleaners or 3+ Singer sewing machines. :) or a med to large Old English Sheepdog.

I've lost two of my mother's Yorkshire terriers. I'm aiming to lose my friend's husky mix.

Hehe...I've lost a chubby Welsh Corgi. I <3 corgis. I guess to get to goal I need to get that up to about a female golden retriever...

Let's see...probably my friend's female Boxer (63 lbs.), & a Shar Pei (bout 40 lbs)? Or how about just ONE Bullmastif on the smaller side? Or to look at it another way....1 of my cat & 6 of her clones!!!

I love looking at weight loss in more "concrete ways". Ways you can tangibly see...animals, children, bags of rice/flour/sugar/potatos/etc. But so far I haven't lost even enough for probably even a pet mouse/rat, but I just started. I'm not giving up!!

:D this made me laugh, I used to have piggies too and at one point we were at about 20 of the little guys, yeah it would be a squirmy, purring, wheaking jumble of fur!

It's interesting to think about. I have lost a Dora's worth of weight. She is my little village dog here, I think she weighs about 40lbs. Wow!

I have lost a 25lb bag of cat food, and the cat that goes with it.

I have lost more then the combined weight of my two lovely kitty babies.

I lost either my Golden Girl's weight or My Aire Girl's weight plus throw in a Yorkie too!
