  • Has anyone else tried these? I love these and I count them as one starch. I need to check with my COD but they are only 40 calories for a big bowl of noodles!!!

Each bag contains two serving but I eat the whole bag b/c it is only 40 cals. It contains 1 gram of fat, 6 grams of carbs, 3 grams of fiber and two grams of protien per bag.

I use them for Stir Frys or whenever I make pasta for my family and I will make my Noodles with the Tofu Shirataki. I found out about them on the www.hungrygirl.com website. There are a ton of good recipes on her site.

You can find them at Trader Joes or order them online if you don't have a TJs close to you.

I just had the yummiest stir fried veggies (onions, peppers, brocoli and green beans) with Morningstar "Chick N" Strips and a couple of shrimp. I used ground chipotle peppers, garlic powder, ginger, stevia(all natural calorie free sweetener) and some low sodium ginger soy sauce to taste.

It was out of this world, huge plate of food for 332 calories, 49 grams of Protein, 34 grams of carbs, and 6 grams of Fat!

    I logged it as 3V 1S and 1P.
  • yumm-o! That sounds really tasty. What color plan are you currently on?
  • I am on Purple with no lites.
  • They have them at Safeway, too!
  • I think one of our chickies (Shannon maybe? Karla?) asked the COD how to count the noodles and they said 1/4 pkg was 1 condiment.
  • Who eats 1/4 packet LOL????
  • It was Karla B and I thought the whole package was one condiment - didn't Katie have these the other week and count them as a condiment?
  • Anyhoo... I just e-mailed the LA dietician. They should have an answer for me either tomorrow or Wednesday.
  • 4 oz. is one serving. The bag is 8 oz. (2 servings)
    One serving is 20 calories
    .5 gm fat
    15 mg sodium
    3 gm carb
    1 gm protein
One serving is not enough to really count as anything, that is why I think they counted it as a condiment. 2 servings would probably be closer to a starch than a protein like regular tofu because of the low protein counts. I had some mixed in with my homemade chicken veggie soup tonight for dinner. Yummy!!
  • We talked about the noodles on sept 8th/ I'll see if I can put the link in. I love the noodles. My cod said half a bag is 1 starch.
