Good question. The answer is- I don't even know anymore!

I don't count calories- but I am aware of them. Basically I eat moderate amounts of healthy fat, very few refined grains, lots of fruits and veggies- but more importantly, I eat things that I like, don't overeat, and try not to think about it too much. I try to exercise 3 times a week, and I walk a lot. I spent a long time being obsessed with food and weight, and the way I'm living now is the best for ME.
This is the result of intuitive eating, that I've been doing for about 5 years. At first you have to think about it, practice it. But eventually, your body and your mind relax around food. I still have a tendency to snack at night, but I'm ten times better off than I was 6-7 years ago.
I'm sure you'll find a path that works for you! Just never stop looking.
