Thinner By The Minute Program

A couple of you asked me to tell you more about the Thinner by the Minute program. From what I can glean from the booklet is that it is a program designed to help us boost our metabolism by incorporating certain foods into a 6 small meal a day plan.

The plan first of all emphasizes the importance of breaking the fast every morning when we get up by eating breakfast. (i have a tendency to skip breakfast because I'm not really hungry when I get up). Then rather than eating larger portions 3 times a day, which is not so good for the metabolism, to refuel 5-6 times a day. There are 5 recipes for small meals which contain usually 1/2 protein. Guess that means we can split proteins and not have to eat the same protein each time, because that is not how the sample menus are set up. So there are 7 sample daily menus to guide you into for what for me is a big lifestyle change. They encourage mixing meals--high quality carbs, protein, and fat. They give a list of metabolism boosting foods: whole grains, fresh vegs, low fat dairy, beans, fruit, nuts, and seeds. There is also a page of "quick grabs" which are quick and easy snacks.

Along with the little booklet, I got the Easy Steps video, which is LAWL's walking video. In the booklet they encourage "active lifestyle", such as walking more, lite exercise routines, etc. Of course people like me who are basic couch potatoes would really be accomplishing something to do these things. Some of you who work out regularly at the gym may find it a bit "lightweight"

It cost me about $70 and in this smaller package I got the booklet which explains the plan, the video, a bottle each of vitamins, calcium supplements, and EFA. Also a package of LA slim down, and a package of Jet start. Seemed a bit pricey once I really looked at what I got, but I'm such a sucker for sales. The other package was around $189, and included the booklet, video, a bottle of Trimax and FB500, 4 pkgs of LA slimdowns, and 4 packages of Jet start.

I'm kind of excited to find out if this really does help me get off the next 40-50 that I need to lose. Hope this helps. If you have any more questions, please ask!!

Good morning!! Yesterday was day 2 of Thinner by the minute. A little adjustment for me to remember to eat and not "save up" for meals. I like being able to split proteins up throughout the day.

AND I was down 1 lb on the COD scale!!!!

Gotta run now and get some things done. Will be back to answer the above requests. Have a POP Saturday!!

God bless all of you today!!!

how is this different then the program now? I have Breakast, mid am, lunch, mid pm, dinner, and evening. that is eating 6 times a day.

Candice, It may not be that different from what you and others have been doing. What is different to me, a Southern girl who was raised to eat three
"square" meals a day, is that it is 6 "meals". I guess its a matter of perspective, I always looked at mid-am, mid-pm, and evening as "snacks". I might eat a bar or a piece of fruit, and "save up" for the big meals. :o)

I don't know if that makes any sense, but it seems different to me. Martha

I asked my COD (corporate) about the program and they knew nothing about it, but suggested I call the toll free number. When I called them, they said it was a program for franchises only. I asked the person, "If this is some great new program, shouldn't it be available too ALL clients?" She said she didn't know, that it was just a program for the franchises to get new clients. I told her thanks for being so unhelpful with information.

I'm on my way out the door to work. I will try to post the sample menus and quick grabs today or sometime in the next couple of days. Just been busy. My COD has been promoting this for about 2 weeks now. Probably is to get people to join since in reality its not all that differnet from what you guys do all the time. But I like it. Kinda gave me a new perspective.

I was however up 0.8 lbs at WI yesterday. I blamed it on my clothes :o) The counselor suggested since I come from work, that I change into shorts when I get there. Duh!! Great idea! Can't believe I never thought of that before. That way if I really get motivated I can go straight to the gym or to the walking track around the lake before I go home. Gotta go chickies! Have a POP day!!

Martha

Thanks for the offer to post. It may be sort of like we've been doing, but sometimes a small change in the routine shakes things up and makes a difference. I was really bummed when they told me I couldn't get the program. Good idea about the shorts. That could help a lot of people who WI after work up north. Even leggings or yoga pants wouldn't be bad.
