No Salt Tomatoes

So, can we use no salt canned tomatoes in our recipes? If not, what canned ones can we LEGALLY use?

I use No Salt Added diced tomatoes and tomato sauce all the time, and just add my own italian spices and mortons lite salt to it.

As I understood it, canned tomatoes are a big no no because of the added sodium, so I consider no salt stuff okay in moderation- sometimes even no salt contains some sodium-

Hunts makes some no salt added tomato products. Also Parmalat (spell?) also has no salt added tomato products- you find their stuff in the italian
specialities aisle.

Thanks Heather. Judging by your stats I'd say it works!
