I am not sure yet -- I lost 9 lbs this week, but then again I always do well on Take Off -- This week will be the true test -- I will report back next Monday with my new results ;)

Norissa:
WOW GIRL 9 LBS!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!! !! That's awesome!

juliemarie 04-24-2006 12:18 PM

I've been losing about a pound a day when doing the shakes . . . .

Not to be a complete hard A#s-but you can't blame the plan or the challenge if you're not staying OP-I think we all need to really commit to it for the 6 weeks as best as we can. No excuses, chickies! We CAN do this! It is a lifestyle change after all . . .

Thanks !!

I have been a very good girl ;)

Guess I just didn't realize my 2 extra light beers would hurt me so much. I haven't seen ANY loss with the shakes since TO even before I had my extra beers. I will stick with it as well as possible but no one is perfect!

Thanks Julie Marie, I needed to hear that. I am losing, I know, because my clothes are telling me, but I was not very good this weekend. I kind of wish that weekends would never come!

I'm with you girl! Weekends throw me off! I either don't get my food in or have too much to drink.

juliemarie 04-24-2006 12:48 PM

Repo-I know-weekends are my biggest challenge too! If I stay at home in my "safety zone" I'm okay-but it's hard when I visit my family. My schedule gets so messed up!

love2eat-I know it can be hard and you will mess up sometimes. It's especially difficult with alcohol-I always see a gain after. But it's going to be difficult to know if the challenge menu works for you if you don't stay POP. Just shoot for one POP day at a time.

Every once in a while on these boards-a pattern of justifying begins to happen (I'm just as guilty, believe me!) and I just wanted to nip it in bud before it becomes an epidemic!

So-chickies on the challenge-I challenge you to be POP for 1 week! Let's really give it a chance to work. Let's all be like Norissa-she's had a fabulous week . . .

stiesta 04-24-2006 01:13 PM

Count me in :)

Go Julie...Go Julie!!! You're so right. Norissa is doing fantastic! I can't wait to see where I end up...2 more weeks until I weigh in. I can definitely tell that my clothes are getting looser.

I'm on my third week of the challenge, so today and tomorrow is TO for me. I just realized that this is the first time that I'm not doing TO because I cheated.:) Normally I have a few days off plan and then do TO to get back on track. This challenge is going surprisingly well. I'm even enjoying the shakes! I hope everyone else is feeling some ease with this challenge. The support here is truly the best!

Oh, and I have a HUGE NSV from Friday night. My DH wanted to go out for dinner. I had eaten all my food for the day and was leaving my shake for dinner. He really, really wanted to go to the chinese buffet...so we went. Here's the kicker...I didn't eat!!! I fed my baby, let my DH eat and I just had some water. Yeah for me!

Has Anyone Just Started Doing The Shakes And Not Take Off???
I Really Dont Want To Do Takeoff..i Wonder If This Will Work If I Dont Do Takeoff??
Alos When Using The Shakes Do They Replace On Starch And One Protein??
Thanks Jamie

emmysmom 04-24-2006 01:23 PM

I'm doing the TO, but I'm pretty sure that there are some chickies who are not. Some others are doing the challenge with variations...so go ahead and skip the TO and join us!
And yes, the shakes count as 1P and 1S.

Awesome Tina!!

I LOVE the shakes...I was actually advised by the nutritionists to do this plan (wasnt called the challenge back then) a few months ago when I was trying to get to goal in time...I really like it and use the shakes a lot in my meal planning. I LOVE the vanilla ones and the chocolate too and I like to freeze them a bit till they are slushy like ice cream- totally addicting.

stiesta 04-24-2006 01:27 PM

Jamie - I'm not doing TO and I'm doing the challenge (or kind of my own version of it). I'm basically doing shakes for like 2-3 days and then 2-3 days of regular OP eating. I did cheat a little this weekend, but last week I lost 4 pounds in 4 days -- I never did that well on TO ever, so this is much better for me!

momof3boys1girl 04-24-2006 01:28 PM

OK I HAVE 15 LBS TO MEET MY JUNE 1ST GOAL OF ONEDERLAND..I HOPE I CAN MAKE IT IM GOING TO START THE SHAKES TODAY...SO I DO SHAKES FOR 10 DYAS THEN REGULAR EATING FOR 2 DAYS RIGHT??

THANKS JAMIE
