BTW, I am 5,6". I really need to work on my ARMS! They are my MAJOR trouble spots (got plenty of other ones, but the arms take the cake!)
deets-I am waiting until I know for sure I can wear a 10 or a 12. I know I can fit into pretty much any 14, and I have fit into several 12s I have tried on (some loose, some tight, but unlike baby bear none just right). We are going to visit family in May, so I want to wait until THE LAST MINUTE hoping I will be a 10 or a 12. Until then, indecent levis that I can tkae off without unbuttoning.

Do it, it just will show you how much better you are now Get yourself the skinny jeans, seriously...you will see an even bigger difference! Even if you have to get them cheap at a second hand store or Walmart.
Problem is all the thrift store jeans that are cute are size 20 and above or size 10 and below. Weird, huh? I guess 12-16 might be really common (avg size is supposed to be 14 in the u.s., so maybe they get snatched up quickly).
Again--ditto Deets--skinny jeans will make you feel even better. I am so glad you posted these. We are the same height and size so I have a much better vision of what I must be close to, too! It's very reassuring to the rest of us.
I love that a 14 is the average US woman but how many do you see in the magazines? No wonder our young girls are so screwed up for body image. When they had their magazines in class I made a point to point out all the airbrushing that was done--so not realistic.
DF--better hit Walmart before you accidentally de-pants yourself in public!
now I wanna go try on my size 20 jeans (by the way, they were the best jeans ever and I'm so wishing I could just shrink them with me) and see the difference. I measured my waist and it has shrunk another inch this month. Maybe I was just bloated before, but I was glad to see a change.
