Hi Mibelle -- I should have pointed out that the Earl Gray tea I drink IS decaf. LOL I guess I think like a Seattleite... the vast majority of tea we drink here is decaf and/or herbal. I'm curious... why don't you have any interesting food? (I don't know what TO means so perhaps that would be my clue.)
Oh and Repogirl, yes thanks... that is a good idea to poke the lemon and stick it in microwave for a bit to get the most benefit from it! I will have to try that!
Hi Repo Girl... today I decided to try your lemon water method... wow, you are right; nuking the lemon really brings out more juice. Curious... is there a reason you wait an hour between the first and second bottles of it? Since I was at work and wanted to get it ready on my lunch hour I just put all the juice in a 32 oz bottle with hot water and chugged the first half; then slower on the second half.
I poke a whole lemon with a fork a few times, place it in a bowl, and put in the microwave for one minute. After it cools a little I cut it in half, still in the bowl, so that you don't lose any juice, and squeeze one half into a tall glass, then I fill the glass the rest of the way with hot tap water. I slam this water, then about an hour later, I come back and repeat with the other half of lemon and the rest of the juice in the bowl. So total it is about 32 oz of lemon water. This always works for me. Heating the lemon will get the lemon to release all of the juice.
Hey, Repo girl... just wanted to say I have been trying this all week and WOW I can really tell that it is helping my entire system. LOL won't go into graphic details as to how I can tell but I am sure you can all figure it out if you use your imaginations a bit!! Thanks for the great tip!
evierama - I can only speak for myself. I drink the hot lemon water whenever I have an excess in sodium, eat something that I really shouldn't, or eat out at fast food. I don't use it on a daily basis.
Hey all! I tried the lemon water today and let me tell you, it worked! LOL But I don't like the taste. My mama told me to add a tsp of honey but I was wondering if that would mess up the process?
Shari, someone told me to add the honey also but I didn't do it because I like the plain lemon water and don't like or feel I need the honey. But I doubt if that small amount of it could be harmful in any way! I have been doing the hot lemon water every morning since I read about it here (32 oz) and yes it DOES work!!! And to me it FEELS really good too going down! It's a great start to my mornings.
