40 oz of water down so far. Cheers!

MetalChic: In case you happen to join us today, and I don't have time to post on Sunday - Happy Birthday girl!

Ewe: Great job on the lost.

Marbear: I love the name Eli, he sure sounds like a cutie.

I have 2 nephews, neither of them talked well enough to understand them until they over 4 years old. Their Dr said that boys can be slower in verbal skills - he was right. They are 9 and 11 years old and you'd never know that either had any trouble with verbal skills. Both do very well in school. Give them time, they'll talk when they are ready. Remember, don't wish for something because you may just get it.

Hey Britt: You out there yet? What's the scoop with Ruby? Your holding back on us.

Ruby: You won't jinks things with CB - just tell us the details!

Hugs, Sy

P.S. Star, TGIF

Default Friday Afternoon

Here's to all you water drinkers - gulp!

Mary - I like Aquafina and have to have mine at room temp too. I'm going on
135 ounces right now. Yesterday I looked on some webite that tells you how much water you should drink accoring to weight - I'm at 116 - again - gulp....
lol

Sy - Thanks for the word up on DGB Dave and his lack of communication skills! It makes me feel better, I was starting to worry just alittle. I'm trying to get GD Jenna and him to call me NaNa Trina. Right now he doesn't call me anything and Jenna calls me Trina..... When I take her shopping she'll say "Oh Trina, your spoiling me".......she just turned 4. I guess you don't know what they will call you until they decide huh Jenna calls my
DH Pa Pa Bear....

Metal - I'm at the birthday party too Have a great birthday!

Fiona - Good for you....hope to hear from you at your new place!

SY - Happy Friday Dance -

Later Chicks......

Break time! But I'm still in a rush! We are going to the show this afternoon to see The Island. I will pack my LA Lite bar and some raisins to munch on while David has his poporn.

Mary - I love the cabbage soup! I think it has a great flavor. I'll bet there aren't many people who haven't tried that diet. How are you going to count it? 1 cup of soup, loaded with veggies = 2 vegetables? That would be an easy way to get all the vegetables in!

Fiona - for giving notice! Will you work two more weeks, or is it effective immediately? New jobs are always exciting!

Sy - I have a grandson who is 8 now. He had a problem with speech when he was younger and it was very hard to understand him. He is a twin and it is so hard to see his sister develop at such a faster pace, but he is so enjoyable to be around with such a kick-back attitude and a quick smile that shows two dimples. A lot of time he lives in his own world and you have to call his name a couple of times to get his attention. When he was young, we thought he may be autistic, but he doctors say he isn't, he's just "hard of listening."

Star - I am just finishing up week 7. I know I have to stay focused for as long as I can before I get bored, which thankfully I haven't yet. I lost a LOT of weight quickly and have finally settled down to averaging between 2 and 3 pounds a week and I'll happily take that!

Britt - hope you can post later in the day. I miss your posts!

I'm keeping Irish in my thoughts today. She should be 1 day post surgery and is probably not feeling her best.

Keep on having a great day! I'll check back in tonight.

Hello Chicks,
Well, it looks like I'm playing the copy cat this week. I fell down with Britt and I quit my job with Fiona... Yep, I walked in there this morning, didn't like the way they were doing me with my hours, so I gave her my keys and walked out. It was just so worth it to see the look on her face...
I had been planning on this for awhile but didn't think it would happen this way. I sent out resumes last week and I've been pounding the pavements all day today. I did get a call from another storage place and went in for an interview. I'll know something this afternoon on this one. It's a cut in pay but it will be all worth it just to be out of there... Wish me luck Chicks...
I had been OP until last night. I didn't feel that great yesterday and didn't feel like cooking so I ended up ordering a burger and fries from the place around the corner. Oh, and a piece of cheesecake... I didn't get on the scales this morning so not sure how bad it hurt me...
Ok Chicks, just wanted to let everyone know where I've been so I'll try to check back in later.

Good luck with the search, Karen!! I wouldn't have done it except that a better job just fell right in my lap!

Regina - I'm giving two weeks. I'd stay longer because I don't know how they are going to get someone interviewed, hired and trained in the next two weeks, but they'll just have to muddle through cause my new boss (a.k.a. MOM!) is already making lists of stuff she wants me to start on...

Star - you probably won't hear much from me WHILE I'm working, cause I know my mom is going to keep me hopping (unlike here where I twiddle my thumbs most of the day!) but I'll be setting my own hours so I'll still have lots of time to pop in and say "hi" when I'm off the clock.

I think I only mentioned briefly. My parents have their own business (horse boarding - currently 70+ horses) and my mom has finally caught on to the fact that her life would be 100% less stressful if she weren't trying to do ALL the office work (client billing, supply ordering, payroll, etc., etc., etc.) on top of spending 6-12 hours a day at the barn itself taking care of all the on-site stuff that comes with a business like this, so since we now live less than 10 minutes away, she's hiring me to basically become her office manager and take all that routine day-to-day stuff off her hands. It was either hire an office manager or a barn manager, and since good barn managers are few and far between and since she much prefers being down where the horses and people are to sitting at a desk, it was a pretty easy choice.

The great part is that I get to pretty much set my own hours, so I can still pursue the RE thing with 100 times more flexibility - plus she's behind my career choice 100% and will do whatever needs to be done to accommodate it so that hopefully in a couple years I won't NEED another job to make ends meet (and by that point, I'll have everything so streamlined that she won't need someone in the office 40 hours a week, either). It's a pretty sweet deal.

And on a completely unrelated note, I just want to make a quick plug for becoming a PAID SUBSCRIPTION member of the 3FC forums. The main benefit is that whenever you are in the forums, you get NO pop-ups and NO banner ads! I got the $15-for-six-months subscription about four months ago and it is SO worth it if you hate those flashy banners and pop-ups (are they still doing the IBS one with the stomach?!?)

I don't get anything for plugging this service, I just don't know how many people know it even exists - I sure didn't for the first 6 months or so that I was a member! If you're interested, go to USER CP at the top, then in the sidebar look for "Paid Subscriptions," it's almost at the bottom of the page. (insert thumbs-up smiley here!)

Default Hi

Geez - this is one crazy Friday - Chicks quitting jobs, chicks losing tons of weight, chicks cooking, feathers are flyin today.......

Karen - I'm so happy you quit that place! They didn't treat you like you deserve and DH was so neglected - he will be much happier now...he'll has his
second mate back

Fiona - As for you working for your mom - can we expect to see the horse stable version of "Family Plots"? How cool would that be and it would be about horses and not dead people I took your lead on the Piad Subscription Member thing about 4 months ago and your right it is worth it's weight in gold! I hated seeing that stomach everytime I logged on

Beth - I was wondering what happened to you = where have you been chick? Did someone lock you in the basement? How's everything going? Hey next time you go to COD and they mention changing plans give them one of these Congrats on losing with the TakeOff.....!

Regina - How did you say this "I lost a LOT of weight quickly and have finally settled down to averaging between 2 and 3 pounds a week and I'll happily take that! Sassy pants - 2-3 pounds a week is awesome -- some of us would kill for that, well maybe not kill, but do great bodily harm? It is all driven by envy

Okay - just wanted to check in and see if I missed anything this afternoon and get my chick fix......Hugs

Star - what the heck is "Family Plots"? Is it a TV show? On cable maybe? We don't have cable - had to choose it or high-speed internet, and without my internet I'm nothing! I'm sure I'll have lots of crazy stories - some of my mom's clients are just nuts.

Family Plots is a weekly show about this family that owns and runs a funeral home. The dad, 3 sisters, the boss and 2 others work there. It is a stitch (no pun intended). The dad (with his quriks) drive the girls nuts. The boss was living with one of the sisters and they broke up, but still work together. One of the guys just got divorced, the other guy is a perectionist nerdy type. Just for grins they are all trying to quit smoking.

See, so Fiona - Knowing you - I know your show would be much better!
