Frankly I think the Take Off is more about seeing a loss on the scale and staying motivated to continue on the plan, than because it has any long-term weight loss benefits. But that said, the fact is, it IS motivating to see a 5-8 pound loss your first week! As long as you realize it's water weight and not fat, and that not every week to follow will be that "good"...!
