For ME, its a no-no. That being said, my WOE (low carb) makes it quite easy to eat out in restaurants. I can order steak, chicken, fish, pork...as long as it is not breaded....along with a veggie (available in most restaurants) and a nice salad with ranch....I'm all set to go:) I'm not a dessert eater (never really have been)....but, if its a "special occasion" and I do want a desert, I'll enjoy an "on plan" dessert when I get home. Restaurant desserts are quite often too carb & sugar laden for my liking anyway.

For me, because I just started dieting I am eating like no bread, no juice, really nothing but chicken, tuna, fruits and veggies. Its not diet food really, but because I am eating no breads, or cheeses or anything this is diet food for now. I enjoy these foods but not on their own, KWIM?

Why not build variety into your diet? I don't eat cheese and I used to be a big cheese lover but it wasn't hard for me to give up. I also rarely eat bread. Today I had 2 low carb tortillas as part of a snack and it was a bit unusual for me to include them into my diet but I am experimenting a little.
Anyway, I don't know what plan you are following. In the beginning, I cut out breads, sugars, super starchy things, super fatty things, etc. I didn't have too many issues initially because my motivation outweighed anything I would possibly want to eat. After a while though, I needed to find variety to keep going. My foods are varied and delicious and it is really what keeps me going. |
