vegetable chopper recommantions
I'm not too kitchen gadget savvy...so, I was wondering if anyone could recommend an inexpensive food chopper? I was looking at the 1 1/2-2cup ones, but not sure what brands are good...something small just to chop/dice up some peppers, onions, cucumbers, and other vegetables so I can make neater wraps, salads and omelets.

Get a good sharp knife.
Go ahead and play with your food, its fun. |
I have never had good success with food choppers. no matter what brand you buy or how much you pay, they never work, at least not very well.IMHO.

I have this one - I've had good luck with it so far, but I also really only started using it regularly a few months ago. When I didn't cook as creatively I used it once every few weeks, the last couple of months I've used almost daily. No signs of wear so far. I use it most often for various peppers, onions & carrots. Haven't tried much else in it so far. |
I have the chopper from pampered chef.Have had it many years and I love it.

oh, I do it that way, I just don't make it "neat" or chop small enough... usually the pieces are too big for wraps, salads or salsa. I usually watch in awe how people on TV do it so fast and easy. :D Thanks for the recommendations, I'll look for them in Target and Walmart this weekend. |
