Intuitive Eating question
Will hunger keep you from dropping below the minimum calories needed to prevent the body from going into starvation mode?
|
Maybe. For some of us, that's a resounding yes :D
But you can do a lot of things to suppress hunger. Your body can get used to you eating far too little. You can eat very low carb and be in ketosis. You can have an eating disorder. If it's a concern, I'd try eating intuitively for a couple days, write down what you eat, then go back and count the calories and see if you can rely on your hunger to make you eat enough. |
Good idea. Thanks.

Not for me. Yes, I do get hungry, but I get full really easily and can eat anywhere from 800 to 3000 calories JUST gaging on hunger. I think it can help a lot to eat mostly when hungry, but how much you eat WHEN hungry might not be so clear-cut. Some people are probably guided well, but I still need to keep myself in check with calorie counting.
