I was also thinking about some crystal light, the commercial says that people who drink it get 20% more water. I don't know, but I do remember about 4 years ago, I bought a six-pack of the plastic bottle crystal lights and it made me sick, I don't know maybe I drunk them too fast.

And...the only thing I crave with Diet Coke is salty foods, I salt EVERYTHING I eat (gonna have to stop that!). I also heard it makes your breasts sore also. It is very addicting to some (like me), I drink A LOT of fluids, I could EASILY go through 5 to 7 cans a day...I hope I get that way with water! I will be starting my "lifestyle change" tomorrow! I have my meal plan all set out and such. I will avoid Diet Coke, it may not effect me with losing weight, but I don't want it doing any other damage either!!!!

Thank you all for the replies!!

Interestingly milk has say 130 mg sodium per 8 oz compared to about 27 in Diet Coke.

But milk isn't loaded with chemicals and other crap we don't be needing to put into our bodies.

I wouldn't give my 2 year old grandson a cigarette and I am sure not going to put chemical-laden garbage (ie. diet coke for one example) into my body either.

Not sure what cigarettes have to do with it :)

But anyway, I was just addressing posts about sodium and bloating. I didn't see complaints in the posts about the chemicals causing bloating.

I hear about sodium in Diet Coke all the time. I think some perspective is lacking on that, is all. I think I've already posted clearly on the side against Diet Coke.

Crystal Lite makes me feel sick as well.

Crystal Lite made me totally sick, with upset stomachs. Perhaps it should be marketed as a cleanse....hahaha!

Diet Coke is super acidic and if you drink it constantly, it will actually dissolve your teeth, especially the backs of your front teeth, and make them really, really weak. And it will stain your teeth brown. Blech. I'm too vain for that, so I switched over to diet ginger-ale for those times that I want something cold and fizzy.

My brother is addicted to Diet Cola and Dite Brown Drinks (doesn't matter what they are, as long as they are BROWN). It hasn't helped his weight issue at all, because he eats a ton of junk with the "diet coke"...I guess everyone has to find their own path...
